      Disadvantages

A touch of luxury for any room in your house.

Being a bit of a candle lover, I was delighted to receive an Atlantic Spa candle amongst my Christmas presents from my daughter.

Atlantic Spa candles are available from Debenhams and can be quite expensive. I buy and use quite a lot of candles in my house, especially in the winter months, ranging from tealights to larger pillar candles, but never buy any really expensive ones.
I mostly use tealights with oil burners, so it was something a little different to receive a pretty square shaped jar with a wooden lid, measuring 9x8x8cm and filled with scented pale blue wax.

The candle does look luxurious with its wooden lid and cardboard sleeve and Atlantic Spa promise you will "Be swept away by nature's freshness and vitality when you use our delicious products that will leave you feeling revitalised and invigorated."

      Sounded good to me!

It is suggested that you add a touch of luxury to your bathroom with this candle, but I preferred to use mine downstairs in my living room, lighting it on an evening where it gives off a cosy and comforting glow.

The candle promises to give you approx 30 hours burning time. I have used mine on a few evenings and to be honest I have not timed how long it has been burning, but there does seem to be a fair amount to use yet.

When lit, the candle gives off a lovely aroma which I would describe as slightly floral with also a faint alpine fragrance. It is quite strong and I can smell the fragrance when I walk into the room, which is something I like to experience.
I have bought scented candles in the past including some well known ones such as Glade, and have been quite disappointed by their lack of fragrance when lit, so it is nice to have a lovely smelling candle such as this.

When not in use, you can replace the wooden lid, and when the candle has finally burned, you could easily re-use the pretty jar by placing a votive or tealight candle inside.

These candles are priced at £5 each which I do think is quite expensive, although they do look luxurious and smell great. I don't think I would pay £5 for one, however, they are available at Debenhams online at the moment reduced to only £1.50 which is quite a bargain!

Overall, I am really pleased with my candle and they do make a lovely gift. A touch of luxury for any room in your house in my opinion.
I wouldn't say the candles make you feel invigorated or revitalised but they are certainly calming and relaxing. Maybe Atlantic Spa's promise of being revitalised refers more to other products in their range as I cannot imagine feeling invigorated by a candle!

They are something special though and I do think I will be treating myself to a couple more while they are reduced!
