Avon Naturals Black Cherry & Nutmeg Linen and Room Spray
If you have read a few of my reviews before, you will know that I buy quite a lot of Avon. This is one of my favourite Avon products that is in the Dooyoo Catalogue at the time of writing.
When I first saw this particular fragrance in the Avon catalogue I was very keen to give it a try as I love the smell of black cherries, eating black cherry yogurts and love the smell of cherry blossom. I was also expecting something more natural and wholesome than the sort of products that the supermarkets sell. At the same time I also bought the Lavender and Chamomile version as well and had previously been using the Lavender Sleep Spray from Avon. However I am only reviewing the Black Cherry Linen and Room Spray here. The fragrance is quite strong and unlike other air fresheners the pump action trigger releases a set amount of fragrance spray into the room and one pump is surprisingly effective in an average sized room. I tend to use two if I feel I need the spray, one to the left and one the right and soon after as the smell matures it also strengthens. The fragrance is definitely sweet black cherries, I don't notice even a hint of nutmeg, which is surprising as it is quite a strong flavour and fragrance, however I don't doubt that it is there.
I leave one of these in the bathroom near the toilet and a couple of sprays in that small area is more than adequate at banishing any nasty niffs that might lurk. It is also useful after a dog has had a bad tummy and an accident indoors and is preferable to Frebreze for instant gratification.
As a linen spray too, it is highly effective. Ideally, I spray onto cushions and sofa covers to freshen up and it is wonderful to spray onto lampshades, so that the warmth grows and spreads the fragrance when the light is put on. I use it a lot in the holiday cottage to freshen up the curtains if we've had a naughty smoker staying.
This is a lovely product and it would suit anyone who likes a natural smelling uncomplicated fragrance in their home. It is especially useful as a linen spray and a bathroom spray.
I suffer from Allergies to some sprays - asthma - This does not cause any adverse reaction.
The spray container has the usual icons on the back that in this case inform that the product is good for 12 months from opening and that the pot is recyclable.
The spray is contained in a small clear plastic bottle about the size of a spray deodorant, the spray mechanism is covered by a clear lid that is easy to remove and replace. On the front sticker below the Avon Naturals logo is a picture of some luscious looking cherries and some nutmeg along with the product name and description. The rear label has the instructions, warnings and contents list as well as the afore mentioned logos.
CONCLUSION & STARS:
I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Unless you don't like the smell of sweet black cherries, please try if you get the chance. The fragrance lasts well, especially in a shut room and on linens. If I spray a cushion before bed one night, I can still smell the fragrance the next evening when I come in from work.
A massive 5/5
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY:
Usually in the catalogue at £4.99, but often included in Avon's 3 for 2 and even 5 for a £5 offers. It is however, one of those products that drifts in and out of the catalogue, so look out for it. Available from Avon catalogue, Avon on-line and other outlets such as Amazon and eBay.
I use a lot of Avon products and i didn't by this for my house but more for my car, as I am a totally addicted smoker and other smokers will know smoking in the car is a habit hard to break. I often buy air freshers however if they are strong they give me a really bad headache and i find the cheap ones don't last.
I bought this as on occasions non smokers may join me in my travels where ever they may be, and I don't want to subject them to the smell of smoke in my car so i spray it all over my seats and roof which does make the car smell a lot nicer. Because it sprays out as a more of a mist it doesn't soak my car seats or leave damp patches. I will admit the smell doesn't last very long however it does take the edge off.
One useful trick i have found is to spray it into the heater vents on your car that way when the engine is turned on it continues to make a nice smell as your driving! Handy for if you have to pop into a meeting forgot your perfume and you want to smell of cherry's not an ash tray.
For the price of the product i can use it a lot more than a conventional air fresher and i have the added choice when i want to smell it and when i don't as i mentioned before some can be very overpowering smell. I usually buy this product when its on offer for around 99p and it lasts so much longer.
I wouldn't recommend this product if you want a revolutionizing room spray that lasts for hours but it does what i want it too and i cant complain at that.
However it is ideal if you often have pets in the car or want to eradicate a smell quickly!
I quite like my home smelling fresh and lovely and have a variety of sprays, candles and recently a lovely diffuser. I quite like Avon have purchased a number of the room and linen sprays from Avon including this Black Cherry & Nutmeg one.
It comes in a slim line 125ml bottle, and I am sure I purchased it for around 99p on offer. This seemed a good deal. The bottle is transparent with a simple banner with pictures of cherries and nutmeg on it. It is a basic design but for 99p this didn't seem too big an issue.
The spray itself comes out in a light mist and has a very mild cherry smell and I can smell no nutmeg at all! I tend to spray it directly in the middle of the room after a nice cleaning spree just to make myself feel good and the house is refreshed but literally the scent lingers for about 5 mins and then its gone again! This is with me whizzing around the flat spraying it in the air and the scent is disappointing. I have also tried spraying this into linen, as on our current sofas we have throwovers until we can buy a new sofa and in this respect it does absorb into the linen much easier and the scent can be appreciated for longer. Again though, the cherry is more prevalent as a mild fruity aroma but the passionate nutmeg smell I had hoped for is not apparent at all!
I also don't think this would be any good in the bathroom as I I sprayed it once in the toilet after my daughter did a no.2 (lovely I know!) and it did not mask the smell at all just made it worse if anything! It literally combined together and was not sufficient to neutralise the smell or mask it but left a more pungent smell all round.
Personally I don't think this product is the best out there and for 99p it was quite a waste of money, and after a few sprays I haven't used it since! I have also tried the Strawberry & Guava and had no such luck so I have well and truly learnt my lesson and will be steering clear of these Room and Linen sprays from now on! If you're a loyal consumer of Avon products you may like it but in my case there are much better products out there!
This Linen and Room spray is one of the AVON naturals range which was available from Avon ladies up and down the country and also from the Avon website. Whilst it has currently been discontinued, they do make come backs in alternative packaging from time to time and there are currently plenty for sale on eBay. You get 125ml of room spray in a clear bottle with a picture of some black cherries on the front and can pick them up for about £2-£3 at the moment on eBay.
Firstly, the thing I like most about this range is that they are not aerosols. I find that aerosols affect my asthma much more than something simple like a liquid spray such as this, I'm not sure if it is to do with particle size but I know I prefer these type of room sprays compared to aerosol types in a can.
The smell of this room spray is not my favourite from the range but it is OK and does the job quite well to fragrance rooms. If used in the bathroom to disguise less than pleasant smells, it isn't like an air freshener such as Oust which will neutralise the smell, it will just mask the less than pleasant smell so if that is it's main role I guess it isn't THAT effective but it works OK.
The scent is more black cherry than nutmeg, to be honest I can't smell any nutmeg in it at all. It is quite a strong smell that lingers for about half an hour which isn't too bad. I have used it on my linen, towels in particular but don't find that the scent holds at all in the linen so have stopped using it for that purpose. On the plus side, it doesn't stain the laundry in any way (I should hope not as it is designed for linen as well as rooms!).
For the price of the product and the fact it is not an aersol, I'd give this 4 stars but based on the fact I'm not so keen on the scent and the poor performance on linen, I will give it 3 stars. I would buy from this range again but would not buy this scent again.
WHAT IS IT?
A room spray fragranced with black cherry and nutmeg. It can also be used on bedclothes and soft furnishings to freshen them up.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
It is a pump action bottle and you just spray into the air to fragrance your home. To use it as a linen spray, spray the item lightly and avoid letting the fabric get too wet.
This room spray is very fruity and does smell of cherries, it's sweet and fresh but heavier than I expected from other cherry products I use. The nutmeg makes it smell a bit spicy but it is very faint and the cherry takes over too much for it to alter the fruity fragrance.
WHAT I THINK
I like the smell of this when I use it as a room spray but not for spraying on my cushions or curtains. The spray freshens my home and is very useful when I change my daughters nappy to rid the room of the smell, it works for things like this and doesn't mask the bad smell to ultimately make it worse.
The spray makes soft furnishings too wet and the smell isn't as nice as when I use it as an air freshener. It doesn't work like Febreze on cushions and only gives a bit of perfume instead of neutralising the smell. I spray it on our woollen coats while I am spraying in the hallway because I think this keeps them fresh ready for when we wear them again.
The smell lasts for quite long, I think after I have sprayed it there is at least an hour when the cherry smell is strong enough for you to smell it all the time and after that there's another hour when you get a smell of it now and again but it is in the air at all times because I have had friends comment on it when they have popped in.
4 Dooyoo Stars.
Avon Naturals Black Cherry & Nutmeg Room & Linen Spray
Usually £4 for a 125 ml bottle but only 99p on-line currently at the Avon shop
I have to admit I'm a massive fan of all things cherry scented, and as such when I saw this in the Avon catalogue I was intrigued. It is sold as a linen fragrancer. I tend to stick to lavender scents in the bedroom as I have heard that they help you sleep (it can't hurt right?) but this seemed like a nice change.
It is sold in a plastic bottle that is see through, with a clear liquid inside. I was a bit dubious thinking that this would 'stain' my sheets - although I was too nervous to test this theory on my nicest most expensive white bedding originally. Since using it on all of my other bedding my mind has been put at rest about this though. The scent itself seems to be 'strong' for around an hour or so, but I have noticed that when I wake up I can still smell 'wafts' of it from the pillows in the morning when it has been sprayed the night before.
The scent itself is nice and fruity smelling very much like black cherry (it could be considered to be a little on the 'plastic' side but not much) with a nice spicy undertone that comes from the hint of nutmeg. The nutmeg hints do make it smell a bit like Christmas, and make me want to go and get a Starbucks coffee, as these are things that I tend to associate with the spice. The spicy hint is very subtle, and nice as I was concerned that this may overpower the smell of fruit. The two smells do work well together and in my opinion they do compliment each other nicely.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes the scent of cherries as it is lovely and restful. (And more importantly as it's currently 99p on the Avon website a real bargain)...
I am not overly keen on the smell of cherries however after smelling the black cherry Yankee Candle I thought it was actually quite nice and so when Avon had their room and Linen sprays on offer I decided as I have liked the Yankee Candle version I would give their version a try.
The product is only available from Avon unless you find someone selling some on that they don't want, if you don't have an Avon representative you can buy it directly from Avons website although you have to spend a minimum amount if you want to get free delivery.
There are about 5 different room and linen sprays of which I think I have tried every one now, they usually cost £4 for a 125ml bottle however I always buy them when they are on offer so never pay more than £1 each for them.
The product comes in a see through plastic bottle with a pump action top and a small plastic cap which fits over the top of it, the cap always quickly gets discarded in my house as there is no actually need for it once you have the product and I think it is just to stop accidental squirting. On the front of the bottle there is a sticker with a picture of cherries and nutmeg which of course is the fragrance.
To use the product is very easy simply remove the plastic cap and then push down on the pump action top, the first time you use it you need to pump it a fair few times to get the product moving but after this it squirts really well and gives a good amount of product per squirt. When you squirt the product it releases a mist of tiny droplets which smell really fruity and disperse over a pretty great area for a tiny little pump.
I cannot really smell any nutmeg in this product however I can smell that there is something extra than just fruit, I love the smell of this and use it to refresh my sofa, the beds in the house and the carpets all of which have been fine and there hasn't been any discolouring of fabrics but of course you should test in a small area first.
When you spray this is does cause a slight dampness so you may not want to spray it on sofas etc just before you get visitors. At £1 a bottle this is really good value and it smells lovely, the smell lasts for ages too and I can spray it on a morning and still smell it when I walk in from the school run, certainly recommended by me.
Many regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I work part time as an Avon representative when my poor health allows. This means that I not only have great access to many of the newly launched ranges and products that Avon have to offer, but I also have the opportunity to find some great bargains and deals from many of Avon's ranges.
One range that I really quite like is the "Avon Naturals Range" which has a selection of freshly-fragranced shower gels and room sprays amongst their range of body lotions and such like. I do quite like the Room & Linen sprays in the range and have tried out several of them in the past.
One such room spray that I had not tried until quite recently is the "Black Cherry & Nutmeg Room & Linen Spray" and I first tried this a couple of months back, paying around £2 at the time. It is rather surprising that it took me so long to try out this particular spray as I am such a big fan of fruit-type scents and in particular those with a cherry fragrance. I think to be honest I had such a stockpile of other Room sprays from the Avon Naturals range created that this prevented me from buying more until these had been used up! Nevertheless, the product has now been given a full trial by myself and this review discusses my experiences of using the product.
The Naturals Room & Linen Sprays are usually priced around the £4 mark, which I think is reasonable value but not the best, especially considering the rather neat size of the 125ml bottles. It is worth noting however, that the Avon Naturals range is regularly subject to promotional offers and I don't honestly think I have ever paid more than £2 for one of their room sprays... so it's definitely worth holding off until offers are running or sales are in place.
The Avon sprays are of course dual purpose in that they can be used to freshen up either a room or your linen. I personally seldom use them to freshen up linen as I don't really feel the need, except perhaps when on holiday if I happen to have one of the sprays with me. In terms of using the spray in the room however, I find the Avon Naturals Room & Linen sprays offer something a little different to other scented sprays that I have used before.
Firstly, the scents and aromas of the sprays are usually MUCH nicer than shop-bought air fresheners that can feel quite 'false' and often carry a sort of 'chemical' scent in their tone. The Avon sprays in comparison, feel much lighter and more natural based which is why I prefer them, finding their fresh tones - which usually contain something fruit-based, so ideal for my own tastes - a much nicer alternative to a powerfully floral 'smog curtain' of scent that hangs in the atmosphere for ages.
The bottle is not particularly eye-catching or appealing, I have to admit. Comprising of a clear plastic bottle that has a very slim, thin look to it, there is a pump dispenser on top, to allow you to spray the product easily. I can't confess to thinking that the product would stand out to me from a shop shelf but it serves its purpose I suppose. In the case of the Black Cherry & Nutmeg spray, there is an attractive label on the front of the bottle that is predominately plum/purple in colour, showing some ripe-looking black cherries. To the bottom of this image is a much smaller picture of some nutmeg, though it isn't particularly obvious what this image is, with me taking my clue from the product name. The way that the product has been presented immediately made me think that the main scent in the spray would be the Black Cherry element, with the nutmeg offering some sort of balance to this scent.
This impression was absolutely correct, and the Black Cherry fragrance is the one that is the most dominant. This is what I had been hoping for, and I can't confess to finding the scent of nutmeg particularly mind-blowing or anything, so I was certainly pleased with the balance of the product's fragrance, finding it perfect.
The scent of the nutmeg in the spray is certainly apparent, but this tends to only be the case for a short period following the spray's escape from the bottle. I find this scent to be quite 'earthy' and it offers a pleasant nutty balance to the cherry scent which may otherwise prove to be overly sweet, or sickly even. The scents do feel somewhat equal at first, providing an attractive balance as I touched on earlier, but the cherry proves to be surprisingly robust and instead of remaining at the outskirts of the product's scent, where it sat comfortably alongside the nutmeg scent at first, I find that the cherry really comes to the forefront of the overall scent, overtakes it, and carries through until the scent has quietly settled in the room.
I find the cherry fragrance to be completely delicious, and surprisingly moreish, resulting in me spraying copious amounts of the spray when, in all honestly, probably one or two sprays from the bottle would suffice. I don't find that spraying any more of the product allows the product to achieve more strength, but this is probably true of most other products that are similar to this one. I find the mouth-watering scent of cherries in the Avon spray to be surprisingly realistic and gorgeously fruity, without the familiar 'sickly' acidic edge that other cherry-scented products so often contain.
I would assume that the result would be similar if the Cherry & Nutmeg product were to be sprayed onto linen, but I cannot clarify this as I have not tried this for myself. What I CAN confirm however, is that any time I have used the Avon Room & Linen sprays on linen or laundry in the past, they have caused nothing in the way of staining or discolouration, which would obviously render the product rather useless.
I have found myself reaching for the Cherry & Nutmeg spray rather often in recent times - so much so, that I have needed to order another bottle of it as I am running out. I think I have a tendency to reach for this spray so often at this time of year as I find its fruity scent has a very uplifting quality to it that is entirely refreshing and it gives my home a pleasant 'lift' during the dreary Autumn days we have been experiencing lately.
I find the Avon Cherry & Nutmeg spray is quite versatile, and I tend to use it all around my home, except my bedroom and kitchen. When used in the bathroom, I find it does a reasonable job at helping to 'mask' any unpleasant smells that may be lurking around after my cat's litter tray has been cleaned out...! Without going into too much detail, she is a very old girl and it is fair to say that both her bowel and her bladder have seen better days, as have the smells that escape from within. *ahem*. I find that the room spray works fairly well at helping to move such smells along...... and out the open window, without leaving behind an unpleasant 'smog' that aerosol sprays always seem to leave in their wake.
In terms of longevity, I have found the Cherry & Nutmeg spray performs slightly better than other Avon Naturals Room Sprays that have dissipated into the air some moments after spraying, leaving me feeling quite disappointed. This version, in comparison, fares slightly better although I still find I cannot detect the rich cherry aroma in the room after about an hour, so it's still not terribly long-lasting, which is a shame. This point is a bit of a let-down, but not enough to deter me from repurchasing the spray again in the future, such is my fondness of it's attractive fruity scent which offers such a stark contrast to sickly, chemical-smelling air freshener sprays that I have purchased in the past.
As I touched on earlier, there is a small selection of assorted fragrances available in Avon's range of Naturals Room & Linen Sprays and you can expect to pay £2 - £4 for each bottle. I wholeheartedly recommend the Cherry & Nutmeg version and the product comes with my full recommendation together will full marks in the product rating score as a result.... Beautiful!
Ok so the other day I wrote about the strawberry room and linen spray and today it is the black cherry and nutmeg spray. I'm sorry if I am repeating myself and you have read my other review but for the new readers here goes. So you can buy this from Avon and I managed to get it on a deal for 99p which they do quite often so it is worth looking out for. Usually though they are only slightly more expensive anyway. They are part of the Avon naturals range.
The bottle is clear which looks nice and is a lot more attractive to look at than say a bottle of Febreeze. There is a picture on the front as you can see in the picture which is off cherries and nutmeg so the odour you should be ready to experience when spraying this product. With the dark hues the bottle looks great and you are ready to use it.
It is a complete plastic bottle so when you go to spray it it is a push down device. You simply take the top off and point your spray into your desired room and push down releasing a fresh aroma. To use it is simple and the directions on the bottle state to do it a couple of times in the centre of the room.
When you spray this one you get an immediate smell of the black cherry. Cherry I always think is quite a strong smell and I really like it. In fact it almost smells good enough to eat. I do not however no matter how hard I try smell the nutmeg. Now nutmeg again has a strong smell to it but it does not come through in this product in my opinion.
This spray is for rooms and linen so you do not have to be afraid of going a bit mad with it and spraying whatever you like. It is a lovely smell and does not have that medicinal smell to it like many seem to. You know with air fresheners when they sort of smell nice but you can always smell the chemicals. Well you dont get that with this just a nice smell.
So you would think everythings great right? Well not quite as my only complaint with this product is that just like the strawberry one it does not last long. The smell goes after a few moments and you can no longer smell it and I find that if you were trying to mask an odour then it just wont work. It does make your linen smell nice but again not for long.
The bottle has now lasted me about 6 months though and there is still a little left but I think it needs way more than a couple of sprays and also very regular to keep up the nice smell.
I do love it though and prefer to use it over Febreeze.
~~Avon naturals black cherry and nutmeg room and linen spray~~
Since reviewing this product for the first time, I have stopped using these sprays and have gone back to using just candles to scent my house.
~~How I came to purchase this product?~~
When I used to live in the UK my friend was an Avon representative and to help her with her sales on her first week I placed an order of shower gels, bubble bath and the usual toiletries that are associated with Avon, however up until then I was unaware of their more home-related products so I decided to try this spray along with the strawberry and guava linen spray and I was glad of my choice when I tested both products. This was a couple of years ago now and even though I live in Cyprus I have regular deliveries of these sweet smelling products! I would also like to try the white chocolate one, I love fragrances which are scented to smell like food, probably because I'm not too great in the kitchen so I have to get the home baking scent some other way!
The bottle is only small for a room spray; it holds 125ml of product. Do not be put off by this as the bottle lasts for a good couple of months even with regular use. The bottle dispenses the linen spray by the top when pressed it squirts a fine mist of spray which equally spreads and does not leave wet patches when sprayed on linen. The bottle itself is slim and transparent so you can see the clear spray which is housed within the bottle. The front of the bottle also has a sticker which describes the product and also has the brand name and a picture of cherries and nutmeg. The packaging could be seen as plain and uninteresting, I think it would appeal to more people if it was brighter and more modernised.
The smell of the product reminds me of black forest gateaux and the dark cherries which are found on the top, the fragrance of this product is delicious and lasts for a long time. The smell of the cherries over powers that of the nutmeg however it works nicely and compliments each other. The smell makes my house feel homely and warm and is a lovely smell to be greeted with when you enter each room.
~~Cost and availability~~
This product can be purchased through an Avon representative, Avon website and perhaps through Ebay it would be much more beneficial for customers and the Avon business if they were to expand and market their products in other retail premises such as supermarkets so the products where more easily available, I think they would therefore sell more. The price as of writing (17/07/12) £4 each or 3 for £4.00 as it claims on the website? I am not sure if this is an error but it would be worth checking out!
~~Would I recommend?~~
I have recently been trying new products from my Avon catalogue and was flicking through the pages when I managed to come across some room and linen sprays. I for one, have never even heard of these before let alone tried them, apart from air freshener of course lol.
They had them on offer at 2 for £3 so I decided to purchase two, and out of 5 of 6 or so fragrances, I decided upon trying the 'black cherry and nutmeg' scent. Why this scent? Well, because I adore the taste of black cherrys so it made sense to try this one first right?
So what does it look like?
Well it comes in a clear spray bottle with a picture of black cherries on the front. It also says 'Avon naturals' on the top and also states the scent. At the bottom it tells me how much product there is, and in this case, there is 125ml so there is a fair amount for the price.
On the back of the bottle it states all the ingredients and therefore if you are allergic to anything, you can see this, and i'm sure there is a list of their ingredients on their website, so you can check this before you buy if you wish.
I like the fact that it comes in a clear bottle as its east to determine how much product has been used and how much is left.
Is it easy to use?
Well yes, its not hard to take the cap off and spray 2-3 times to make the room smell nice and fresh.
It did smell like cherry and was pretty strong, but i couldn't smell any of the nutmeg that was supposed to be in the fragrance too :/
I will also say that the smell is quite overpowering, so don't breathe in too close to where you have just sprayed as I always find that you can taste it, and trust me, thats not a nice thing.
Overall, I am very happy with this product and have since tried the other scents too. They all smell really nice and I would really recommend you trying them if you fancy something different.
These are available online on the Avon website, or if preferred, through an Avon catalogue. They are always available so they must be popular and are nearly always on offer.
Thanks for reading :)
I absolutly love these room and linen sprays from avon. The 125ml bottles seem small when you first purhase them but they do last such along time and a little bit goes along way.
This spray is blak cherry and nutmeg and you an really tell that it is a cherry fragrance as soon as you spray it and anyone who doesnt know what you have sprayed can detect the cherry. After a while the nutmeg starts to come through the cherry aroma and it almost smells like you have sprayed a different sent.
The packaging of the product is a see through bottle with a pump top, the band in the middle of the bottle shows a picture of what the scent is i.e black cherries. Its from the Avon naturals range and they do smell natural.
You an spray it on any fabric and linen aswell as just freshening up a room and you only need a couple of squrts of it because it does have alot of power in the scent. I have sprayed a room in the late morning and my partner has been able to smell it when he got home in the evening.
Its a very sweet smell but not too overpowering and sickly but it is very fresh.
I brought this because i have 2 dogs and didnt like having a smell from them when they came in wet, i brought 4 bottles of different scents whilst they was on offer in Avon for 1.10 each and each bottle lasted for around a month so whilst they are on offer of half price or more i stock up on the different scents and by the time i am running out they are back on offer again so i never pay more than i should.
I have used these throughout my house, on bed linen the dogs beds, sofas and carpets and they never leave the material wet so your not waiting round for it to dry before sitting down or going to bed. It doesnt irritate the dogs skin and it doesnt irritate any of my family. its very gentle.
I would recommend this to people who like to have fragrance through the house and like something that lasts. Its low priced and very efficiant
=== The product ===
This is a black cherry & nutmeg room & linen spray from the Avon Naturals range.
=== The packaging ===
This room spray is provided in a plastic bottle that is clear. The room spray is a clear colour and the bottle has a press down dispenser that emits a spray. The bottle has a round plastic lid that can be popped off and on to protect the dispenser from being activated when not needed.
=== How to use this ===
This is designed for use on linen and in rooms. I spray this over my sofas, curtains and any other fabric surfaces. I also spray this around the room lightly if I am trying to get rid of a bad odour or just ensure that my home smells nice when guests arrive. As I already regularly use another room & linen spray in this range I did not bother to do a fabric test first but then my sofas are quite old anyway so I am not too worried about looking after them.
=== Where can I buy this & for how much? ===
This is usually priced at £4.00 but I picked mine up a few months ago on a 3 for £3.00 special offer. I have also seen 4 for £5.00 offers in the past also and would never pay more than about £1.50 per bottle of this. I am happy to buy multiples to get a lower price as I always end up using this plus there are often other items in the special offers.
=== Overall opinion ===
My husband is a smoker and we have a cat so sometimes our home is not the nicest smelling and I like to use lots of products whenever possible. I first started using these Avon linen & room sprays after I received one in a gift basket from my Nan. I had never been a huge fan of Avon before and now I have been converted and have gradually started to buy more and more Avon products!
This spray is simple to use and it is another fantastic one from the Avon naturals range. The scent is quite fruity without being over the top and I find that the smell is quite long lasting. I have a large ornamental fabric flower in my hall that I always spray and this tends to keep the hall smelling fresh the whole day through with just a couple of squirts.
As I mentioned above I have been using this on fabrics such as my sofas and my curtains. I have not experienced any problems with stains, marks or any other damage to my fabrics. This scent dries quickly and works well, it does not leave my furniture looking messy and I can notice the scent for a good hour or two before fading away.
Overall I like this quite a lot. This is easy to use, it works well, it is fairly long lasting and there are frequent special offers. The scent is fruity without being overpowering and I feel like the nutmeg adds something a little different to the scent, it seems to tone the scent down a little in terms of how fruity it is but add something a little richer and deeper. I would say to only purchase these when on special offer as the £4.00 price tag that usually accompanies these is a little bit steep for my liking!
Avon Naturals Black Cherry and Nutmeg room and Linen spray is in my personal opinion, a wonderful invention in a plastic bottle with spray which is designed to lightly fragrance and refresh your room and fabrics and clothes in the home.
This 125ml bottle does seem a bit on the small side when you first see it but I can assure you a little will go a long way and you really don't need a great deal to get fantastic results every time.
This cost me around £1.40 from my Avon rep and as I am a big fan of everything Avon, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed at all with this.
The bottle gives a lovely nice fine mist which you simply spray onto your clothes or fabrics or just into the the centre of the room. The smell is sweet and floral at the same time but not at all overpowering or sickly as some of these can be.
The smell lasts and lasts for ages in my view and I love to gently spray it in my underwear drawer or across the bedclothes at night about half an hour before we go to bed.
It says it is nutmeg and cherry. I can detect nutmeg but not a lot of the cherry, but nevertheless the smell is amazing and very refreshing. It dried quickly too, so no need to have to wait around for ages to let fabrics dry.
Fantastic little product which I highly recommend.

I often find that aerosols are a bit too heavy and I accidentally end up tasting instead of smelling them, so I jumped at the chance to buy these natural fruity room and linen sprays, and purchased the black cherry and nutmeg and the juicy watermelon.
These sprays come in a conveniently slim line bottle with a pump spray top. They have a plastic clip on lid covering them, to prevent accidental sprays or spills. The bottle is clear aside from the logo and essential information on the back, meaning you can see the clear liquid inside.
The pump allows you to get a good spray out of each press, and as soon as the spray is released, you can smell its delicious notes of cherry and nutmeg undertones. The cherry is definitely more prominent than the nutmeg, but the combination is heavenly. The scent is extremely pleasant and light, but manages to defeat any previous unwanted odours, which is a very impressive feature of this alternative air freshener. The smell lingers in the air for a considerable amount of time, but does fade as it does so. It can last about a couple of hours before it fades from the room, but with the amount you get for the price, I'd be happy to just spray again! Its smell seems to stay longer on clothes and bedding, as if they absorb it, so I went through my entire house spraying every possible material with it! The house smells good enough to eat! I'm glad Avon produces this range of natural fruity sprays as they've come in very handy.
I managed to grab these at £1.50 each for a 125ml bottle. I think it's a reasonable price for the quality of the spray and the usage you get out of it, but I have known them to be cheaper, at about £1 each, so next time I think I'll wait until they're reduced to a pound each!
This air spray is so light yet able to mask other odours; I dare say it's a cheaper alternative to Febreeze! The range is very varied but they all smell delicious, and they have a lot of sprays for one small bottle. The only downside is that the smell does fade rather fast.
