I love my rooms to smell nice but my asthma prevents me from indulging as often as I'd like in the beautiful air fresheners that are available now. An excellent alternative I've found is the range of Room & Linen Sprays from Avon, I have tried most of them now but always keep a bottle of the Black Cherry & Nutmeg fragrance for my living room as it's such a warm and comforting spray.

The spray can be used either as an air freshener or in the same way as Febreze by spraying it onto fabrics to freshen them up and scent the environment.

The smell is lovely, I like anything cherry scented and the underlying nutmeg adds a spiciness to the general smell of it. It's a sweet scent but I think it would appeal to both men and women, actually I know it does as both my brother and son in law have this in their houses - whether they know it or not!

The scent lingers in the air and definitely freshens the place up, I have three cats so like to keep on top of the freshness so my house doesn't ever smell of 'cat'. I keep a window open during the day but like to help the air along with a burst of this lovely spray, I find it freshens well and I need to give the room a few sprays just twice or three times a day.

I have quite a wide living room and use a couple of sprays in each corner plus one in the general direction of the centre, this is nine or ten sprays per time so a bottle lasts me for about three weeks. It's propelled through a pump rather than an aerosol so this doesn't affect my chest in the slightest, sometimes if I go overboard with the spraying it'll make me cough but this is due to the strong scent of the spray and it soon dissipates into the air leaving the fragrance itself rather than the wet mist.

I find when spraying fabrics that this spray will get them a little bit too damp if you're not careful so if you're planning on using it to freshen up your mattress or sofa just remember you're not going to be able to sit on it for a while, I've got into the habit of spraying my large items just before I go out so that when I arrive home they smell lovely and fresh but are dry. The spray doesn't mark the fabric in the slightest and even if you go a little overboard and drench the furniture the wet patches will dry with no watermarks.

The other fragrances in the Room & Linen Spray range are nice too and I like to swap and change between them for each room and also depending on what season we're in, the Strawberry & Guava will probably replace the richer Black Cherry scent when all this wintry weather has passed to get me in the mood for summer.

This is a product which is often on offer in the Avon book, the regular price for a 125ml bottle is £3.50 but in the latest book is part of an 'Any 4 for £5' offer which is an astounding saving.

Summary: A delicious scented air freshener which shouldn't affect any asthmatics.
