Like many other people on here, i firmly believe that in the whole you get what you pay for with paint. I have tried many own brands such as Focus and Homebase and Wickes and always found them to be rubbish quality that just prove hard work to paint with. Even their so called one coats took 3 or 4! As a result i had become an avid fan of Dulux paints deciding that they obviously were the experts in paint! However i have now changed my mind! I have two very awkward children who can not agree on what colour they wanted in their bedroom so we came to a comprimise of yellow and green. These were picked because they will go with the ben 10 theme that they both want. The colours in the ben 10 theme are very vibrant and I thought I would have problems trying to find them. When I got to B & Q I spotted the colours range. It is one of the cheapest matt paints that are available but did still cost me £11 a tub. They are a 2.5 litre tub so due to the room I have decorated I have got plenty left over. This paint only needed to be painted on once which was great because it was so thick. ... When it comes to paint, my theory has always been that if you want to a good job in the least amount of time, you have got to spend a little bit extra and buy a decent quality of paint, which normally I always opt for Dulux, however Dulux doesn't always work, even though it is one of the more premium brands. When I get in decorating mode, thats it, no one sees me and I get motivated and will not stop until I have finished the job. I get all excited, like a big kid and just want it finished so I am able to see the end results sooner rather than later.
