Advantages: Cheap, Just about does the job.

Disadvantages: Thin, Lots of Coats Needed

This is a better product than the B&Q Matt Emulsion in my opinion, because I did not have the problems with it such that I did with it's matt counterpart (read the previous review for further information). At the end of the day though, this is still a budget paint and if I had the choice, I would buy a better quality brand because the paint is still quite thin and watered down. The paint is pretty much available at all B&Q stores, Warehouses and Superstores.

B&Q White Silk is available in various pot sizes, from small (2.5L) to Large which I think is 10L. It is a cheap paint, but the problem is that you require a lot of coats to have a nice white wall, especially if you are painting over a colour other than white because the paint is so thin. The paint may be cheaper than the better quality brands like Dulux, but you may be surprised at just how much of it you need to use, and you may even find that you have to go back to B&Q to pick up yet another pot! The Silk paint was a little bit thicker in my opinion than the B&Q Matt Paint, which really was quite transparent when paainted onto the wall.

It's hard for me to say much more, the paint is what it is, it does what it says on the tin, but to summarise it is a cheap paint, it's thin and watered down, and you would probably be better off going for a good quality paint because of the time you will save and the superior finish you will be left with.

Summary: Ok for touching up an already white wall perhaps, but not really a good quality product

Well, it would be good to know the cost price and if it stinks or doesn't have too much chemical fumes. Also is it easy to clean down afterwards or tricky due to the fact that it is a watered down/cheaper paint quality?

I always buy Dulux as you can rely on the product.
