Biotex stain remover has been around for donkey's years and we have been using it alongside other stain removers all of our married life - and that it quite a while. It comes in a 500g box of white fine powder and costs under two quid. It comes with a scoop and measuring device and instructions on the reverse of the box, which I personally think is very useful indeed.

We usually use it by pre soaking garments overnight and by the next morning we find the stain has disappeared and then we just wash it as normal in the usual wash cycle. It is very rare in my personal experience, that a stain will not come out and we'd never have to soak again.

It removed hard stubborn stains such as blackcurrant and grass stains really well and can be used on both whites and colured materials. It is also very good when washing at low temperatures.

It is phosphate and bleach free and kind to the skin considering it is so tough on the stains. I would recommend this because it is cheap yet very effective and to be honest probably a lot better than some of the more expensive stain removers you can buy.
