Advantages: Ne need for separate conditioner
I have used Bold washing powder for ages, I find the cleaning power is great and the addition of not having to add conditioner even better. I have seen the Bold 2 in 1 wash tablets but it was not until recently that I decided to give them a go.
Upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised by the scent, such a clean fragrance, it?s hard to put into words, but mmmmmm probably sums it up. When you open the tablets which are wrapped in twos the smell is even more noticeable. At the moment I am using their woodland rain fragrance, which they say captures the natural tranquility and clean scent of fresh woodland after a rainstorm. I am not so sure about that, but I do like the scent as well as the scent of their other products.
I bought a box of 48 tablets, that gives 24 normal washes although they do recommend for heavily soiled items you use three. I use vanish for bad stains so have only ever needed to use two at a time.
One real big advantage of using tablets is I know exactly how many washes I can do, oh how many times in the past have I reached for the washing powder box to discover I have not got enough powder for a wash.
I normally do all my washing at 40%C and its so simple to just pop two tablets in the same tray as you would normally put the powder. Then load the washing machine, switch on and go and have a cuppa.
After the wash is complete my laundry is clean, feels nice and that gorgeous aroma is still evident. One concern I had was as they were tablets I might find them only partly used and still in the tray after the wash, I am glad to say they have always dissolved completely.
I have noticed that when my clothes are dry, they are nice and soft, but they are not as soft as they would be if I used a separate fabric conditioner. I find this to be a good thing simply because I really do not like everything feeling artificially too soft.
None of my family has had any skin reactions with clothes that h
ave been washed in Bold 2 in 1. For those of you who might suffer reactions to certain products here is a list of the ingredients as found on the box..
Enzymes, Brightening agent. Less than 5%; Polycarboxylates, Nanionic and cationic surfactants, Soap, Phosphonates. 5% to 15%; Anionic surfactants, Oxygen based bleaching agents, Zeolites.
I find this a good all round product made by Proctor and Gamble, although it is not the cheapest in town for convenience, ease of use, cleaning ability and all round performance I think £5.19 for a box of 48 tablets is good value, and also I do not need to buy a separate fabric conditioner.
