Every time I go to the supermarket, I come out more and more disgusted with the price of washing powder. Now, I have always been a traditional, regular sized box of Ariel man myself, but on a recent trip to Iceland (the store) I noticed that these 'liquitabs' were on special offer so I decided to try them. To be honest, in the past I have always thought that 'washing tablets' were a waste of money, labeling them a gimmick as they were essentially the same product, just more expensive because they were in a different shape - I do however, stand corrected.

So, these tablets are very easy to use, you simply load your washing machine as normal and place the tablet directly into the drum. Close the door and put your wash on as normal. The tablets themselves, look like little plastic bubbles filled with liquid, having read the back of the packet however, I now understand that the plastic is 'special' in that it dissolves when the water hits it, hence releasing the liquid and ensuring that you are not left with random bits of plastic in you washing machine.

When the wash was finished, I was highly impressed with the smell that hit me when I opened the door, there was a strong aroma of Lavender, and I presume Chamomile (Im not sure what this actually smells like) but overall very fresh and clean smelling, much stronger than if I had used ordinary washing powder, and this smell, while it got a tiny bit fainter, stayed on the clothes even when they had dried and been ironed.

Because there is a fabric softer in this product already, all of my clothes, and even towels were soft and fluffy - hence, removing the need to add a fabric softener and therefore saving you a wee bit of money.

I have switched to these tablets full time now, there is also an 'orange blossom' variety which also smells good. The main advantage of these in my opinion though, is that they do not promote waste. I have often been a culprit of using too much powder in a wash, and have often ended up spilling loads around the machine and making a mess, with this product, this no longer happens.
