I am a big fan of wax tarts, melting wax etc and buy them regularly as I love the fragrance they give off as they melt in my oil burner.
The main brand most people are aware of is Yankee Candle, but there are a number of alternatives available which I have enjoyed trying out too.
One of these alternatives is Bomb Cosmetics' Little Hotties. These are small hand-poured wax melts which you place in your burner, just the same as you would a Yankee tart, and as the wax melts, they give off a lovely fragrance.
It was my daughter who first purchased some of these Little Hotties. I was aware of Bomb Cosmetics and have bought various bath bombs etc from them in the past, but was unaware that they also produced wax melts too until my daughter purchased some directly from Bomb Cosmetics online earlier this year. She showed me them and gave me a few to try and I was quite impressed. So much so that I decided to purchase some for myself.
These Little Hotties come in different shapes and fragrances and the idea is you mix and match to create different fragrances by placing two or three different melts together in your burner, although of course you can stick with all the same fragranced melts in your burner should you wish. Because the melts are small, you do need to place more than one in your burner. I use at least two, sometimes three, depending how much fragrance I require.
There is also quite a large range of fragrances to choose from and when you buy a box of Little Hotties directly from Bomb Cosmetics, you are able to choose exactly which melts you want in your box from the range of fruity, floral or fresh fragrances.
A box full of wax melts will provide you with 132 hours of fragrance for £6.99, but I would also advise you keep an eye out of these Little Hotties in card and gift shops. I ordered online, but just recently I was in an independent card and gift shop and noticed they stocked Bomb Cosmetics and these Little Hotties. They sold these individually at 30p each and you could choose how many and whatever fragrance you wish, so I had great fun creating a pick n mix style bag full of melts.
When you order online you are also sent a recipe booklet with ideas to mix and match the fragrances, but I do enjoy creating my own. These Little Hotties are really fragrant and I especially love the fruity ones with Lime, Blackcurrant, Raspberry Ripple and Orange Blossom being amongst my favourites. Amongst the other fragrances I also really like White Chocolate Truffle and Tropical Sands, but I really haven't found any I dislike as yet.
I find the throw from the melting wax to be excellent. The fragrance released is strong and the fruity scents are quite mouthwatering! The longevity is excellent and I find melting three wax melts together usually gives nine to ten hours of fragrance at least.
These would make an ideal gift for anyone who is maybe a Yankee Candle fan as these are certainly just as good in my opinion. There is a great range to choose from on the website at www.bombcosmetics.co.uk where you can also purchase the oil/tart burners too as well as other candles and all the usual Bomb cosmetics.
I have also noticed Little Hotties are available from Amazon and of course gift shops which stock Bomb Cosmetics.
I have been using these for a few months now with no complaints. If you like to fragrance your home with melting wax then I can highly recommend these Little Hotties from Bomb Cosmetics.
