Advantages: Does not show through white posters

Disadvantages: Kids think its chewing gum

I am sure you will all know what blu tac is, Bostic also make White Stick'n Fix Re-Usable Tack it is not called white tack cos UHU another adhesive company produces one called that first
.
Anyway Bostric is the company that make White Stick'n Fix Re-Usable Tack . Bostic was founded in Massachusetts in 1889 making adhesives for shoes.

Blu tac was first made in 1971 (I had not realised it was so modern). Apparently it was developed in white but Bostic sensibly coloured it blue so that children did not mistake it for sweets , chewing gum I guess.

I can not find a date but sometime after 1971 Bostik marketed White Stick'n Fix Re-Usable Tack.
If you have used Blutack on white walls you will know why. It does occasionally leave a blue mark, and it does show through posters stuck on the wall . Apparently if you live in Cambridge university’s New hall you are not allowed to use blutac on the walls for your hip posters but you can use white tac !

White tack (and blutack) is a synthetic rubber compound (Bostik will not let on what their ingredients really are)

White Stick'n Fix comes in a flat sheet sealed in a cardboard envelope type pack. It is best stored out of sunlight and away from heat.
Tack is quite firm when you first take a piece to use but when it is warmed with your fingers it softens.
You only need a small piece to stick your Childs art work on the wall stick the White Stick'n Fix either to the wall or to the paper and press the place where you put the tack and the picture will be held up , you will need to put tack at various intervals to hold the item up depending on size or weight .

You will find it is a good adhesive and the art work should stay put on the wall, until you decide to take it down.

It is easy to take the art work and tack of the wall just pull at it and remove the tack with your fingers , you may need to rub at the White Stick'n Fix if it was firmly squashed onto the wall, occasionally it can leave a small mark on the wall which can I find be wiped off with detergent .

White Stick'n Fix is useful for sticking many things to something else, posters on your student walls. It is an alternative to tape or pins. White stick and fix will hold paper / card and slightly heavier things. I have stuck ceramic wall tiles to the wall with it as a temporary measure.

White or blu tack is certainly as useful product. There are many companies that make similar usually cheaper versions of it. Some of these are ok but some are not as good as bostick make

White Stick'n Fix is suitable for over 5 year olds . but I still know many over 5’s who will try to eat it .
I can find no safety advice about white stick and fix , but I guess its about the same as blu tac . Which although you should avoid ingesting it , if you do it will do you little harm just give you an uncomfortable tummy.
It is recommended you store this in a cool location away from sunlight or heat sources, as it will burn under extreme heat conditions.

You can buy White Stick'n Fix at a lot of craft shops , some newsagents sell it too as do most large supermarkets, White Stick'n Fix costs £1.29 at http://www.ryman.co.uk. It costs about the same from most retailers.

If you want more info go to http://www.blutack.com/home.htm where you will find some more ideas of how and where to use white stick and fix

Summary: A white blutac
