I admit it, I am an eco conscious person with a tumble dryer! Granted, it is an energy saving model, but it is an eater of electricity nonetheless. I refuse to bow my head in shame, as without it, I could not dry sheets and duvets with ease in winter, and I can't hang out bedding in warm weather either as I am highly allergic to pollen and fine particulates. My reasons for having a dryer aside, the fact I own a dryer has several implications for my laundry. One is the dreaded static ling. Oh the woe of having hair stand on end and listening to the crackle of static charged fabric. The other is the hot wet cabbage smell that one can get occasionally from ... Read the complete review

I always thought that whoever invented the tumble dryer deserved a medal but when Proctor and Gamble introduced Bounce Tumble Dryer sheets that was just about the icing on the cake. Weather permitting most of us like nothing better than to see our laundry blowing in the warm breeze, drinking in heaps of fresh air but when the rain comes down or we desperately need to dry that shirt then we automatically resort to the tumble dryer. Proctor and Gamble have packed these single use tumble dryer sheets into small gaily coloured boxes and they have ensured that we can easily access just one sheet at a time to put in with our wet washing. There are two ... Read the complete review

Winter is around the corner, outside it is damp, wet, and miserable. The squirrels are bouncing around the garden , frantically burying their nuts and generally preparing for hibernation. The gardens are covered in slimy , wet fallen leaves and there is a distinct nip in the air. The nights are drawing in, and we are all sniffling with the beginnings of our traditional winter colds. Tis nearly the season to be jolly, but it is hard to be jolly when you feel so miserable , and you are bundled up against the elements in stale winter woolies, hastily retrieved from the back of the closet. On opening my front door, you step across the threshold and bounce ... Read the complete review

Since I started having to use washing powder designed for sensitive skin (for myself and my six year old), I've realised what a lovely scent 'normal' washing powders add to my clothes. I can't use softener at all as while my skin can cope with it, Alice gets even more itchy than usual if she wears clothes that have been softened. Enter Bounce Sheets. For those of you who aren't familiar with Bounce, it's basically a thin sheet of muslin type material which you pop in your tumble dryer. The idea of Bounce is to prevent creasing, lessens static and lends an 'outdoor dried' sensation to your washing. This is what Bounce says anyway, chrisandmark's take on ... Read the complete review

These really are my preferred tumble dryer sheets. They are expensive at £3.79 for 40 sheets but I have found if I have only done a small tumble load and the sheet still has a fragrance in it when it has finished then I will leave it in the machine and it is capable of dealing with a second load, on the same sheet and still having good results. This does help to lengthen the life of a box and makes it a little less expensive. The sheets have a really lovely strong smell and this is important to me as I don't use an extra softener in my wash loads usually, so there is no fragrance from this to help my clothes smell nice. The Bounce sheets leave a ... Read the complete review
