I've certainly found that, since having a baby, the contents of my shopping trolley have changed. One product that I've found I can't be without that I hardly ever considered before is kitchen paper. Previously I'd just buy whatever was the cheapest paper and a roll would last for months - in fact, I don't think I could say what I used it for. Now, however, I seem to use paper like it's going out of fashion! Yes, I know it's not necessarily that environmentally friendly but it's convenient and that counts for a lot at the moment, particularly if you've a crying child to see to! My paper of choice is Bounty. I've found it to be far superior to most other ... Read the complete review

Long, long ago in Philadelphia Arthur Scott, head of the now Kimberley-Clark paper company, received a railroad car full of paper rolled too thick for the toilet tissue which they produced. This was in 1900 and, presumably in those days, they didn't just put it down to wastage, return it in exchange for a credit note or enter it as a tax loss. Clever Mr Scott remembered that a local school teacher was using soft paper to stem the runny noses of her pupils to prevent germs being transferred to cloth roller towels. So Arthur perforated the unwanted paper and tried to sell it as rolls of towels, each 13" wide and 18" long. Although it took a long ... Read the complete review

I bought a twinpack of this much advertised brand of kitchen roll from my local B&M Stores, for the bargain price of 99p. I believe that this is lower than the usual supermarket price of around £1.60 for two rolls. It is also worth pointing out that the name has recently been changed to Plenty but the packaging and colours all still look the same, I have no idea why they changed it which seems odd after such a short time to establish the Bounty brand but they must have had their reasons. Anyway, I rarely buy kitchen towel but I wanted to clean my windows and mirrors and bought this at the same time as some windowlene as in my experience it is the best ... Read the complete review

The Bounty Kitchen Roll is one of Proctor and Gambles products. I am frugal, it is a case of having to be, but there are some things that I cant compromise on because it would just be false economy. We have loads of shop and stores around us that sell four kitchen rolls for £1, not brands that I have ever heard of, but because they were cheap I have wavered and tried them out. I can truthfully say that the majority of them are just a waste of time and money. The last cheaper pack of four kitchen rolls that I bought were like toilet tissue, they were just a thin two ply and had little or no absorbency power. So instead of taking just one sheet I was ... Now I'm a sucker for advertising and when I saw the bounty adverts on the telly I knew that I wasn't going to be satisfied until I gave it a try. I picked up a pack of 2 rolls at about £1.40 as I found the prices rather expensive at nearly £4 for 6. I must admit that I was kind of excited about going home and making a bit of a mess just to test out the kitchen towels- I know this is extremely sad. Firstly I noticed that each individual piece on the role felt a lot thicker than the usual paper towels I bought. Also it had some sort of design over it, which I guess made it a little more interesting to look at. I first tested out the paper on ... Read the complete review
