The knife is comfortable to hold and the handle is an unusual shape that fits comfortably in my hand. Because the blade and handle are in one piece there is no chance of the handle working loose and that is a relief because that is what happened to my last cheese knife.
This is the most used knife in my set because it not only cuts hard cheese very well but also glides through softer cheese like brie and camembert. I have a separate knife for cutting these ...more |

For Christmas my friend brought me a set of Cheese Brigade cheese knives. They are in a special presentation cheese knife block that is made of copper and looks like a small knife block. Included in the set is a Colonel Parker Hard Cheese knife that is used to cut and slice hard cheese like Cheddar or Edam. This knife is the one in the centre of the photograph above. The knife is perfect for its intended purpose and I have made many a cheese and onion sandwich using this knife.
