... opened. This liquid does a really good job of degreasing certain foods that's been burnt on the ring or surrounding areas; which I would have used a scouring pad for but surprisingly this product gets it all off pretty quickly! With a bit of graft is needed however. It leaves the cooker top and the sink looking really clean and shiny, as if it was purchased recently. The product seems to have a wide range of targets it attacks; it removes grease, pieces of food stuck to the cooker and such, and also removes grime...more

Crowned Review Cif Cream Lemon Fresh: From Jif to Cif (1138 words)

Born in the early 70s I still have trouble changing from Jif to Cif, it just doesn't sound right although I have it on good authority that it was to bring the UK in line with other European, (more precisely EU member), countries, some of which don't have Js and others they are pronounced in a very different way'. Now that I have resolved that major issue……on to the product which I have been using for some time along with a vast array of other cleaning products, after all I’m told that variety is the spice of life! - Price - This is currently available in most supermarkets at various prices: Asda ~ £1 for a 500ml bottle Tesco ~ £1.26 ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review It's not Jif anymore... (866 words)

Remember Jif? Well, Cif is Jif. Confused? The megabrand that is Lever Faberge had to change the name because the English were apparently the only nation who could say the word 'Jif' easily whereas everyone else could say 'Cif' fine... Cif doesn't exactly roll off the English tongue though, does it? Anyway, this brand re-name happened donkeys years ago but (observant little thing that I am) I only noticed about six months ago! Cif produce a range of cleaning products including drain cleaners, their wonderful Bathroom Mousse and various squirty bottles for every conceivable surface in the kitchen and bathroom. The only variation on a Cif theme I'm loyal to ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Cif Cream Lemon Fresh: I'm a libertated man... (981 words)

I like to think I'm a liberated man, you could call me a modern, nineties man, although it would probably have to be noughties nowadays. I wash and iron my own clothes, I have been known to let my girlfriend out of the kitchen (well, truthfully it's hard to get her in there!), I'm quite happy to have a female boss, especially if she's attractive! I think I'm in touch with my feminine side, although I draw the line at wearing women's clothes (except on the last Thursday of the month!!). I darn my own socks, I even use moisturiser! I'm more than happy in an equal relationship, and I'm all for equality of the sexes. My partner ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review More Wholesome than it's New Name (763 words)
by - written on 24/11/02 (Very useful, 836 readings)

Power! That's what I have needed until recently from home cleaning agents. My old kitchen was an ancient MFI model, given to us by a friend about to install a new one, then remodelled by my clever late husband until we did the same. This was not to happen before events took over and, during the past few years, I had cheered it up by painting the doors in various satinwood shades of terracotta and then hot green. You know, the awful sort of economy thing you see in Changing Rooms. Meanwhile, with the work surface getting thinner and thinner until odd tiny spots of base were showing, my cleaning materials were reaching the strength of one stage from sulphuric ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cif Cream Lemon Fresh: An essential part of your armoury against dirtiness! (596 words)
by - written on 30/07/09 (Very useful, 120 readings)

I haven't had that much experience with cleaning yet, I only have had to keep my room clean so far without any specific cleaning products, just mainly hoovering. Even at home, I slyly leave all the cleaning to my parents. I never really gave this product a glance until I started cleaning for my grandfather who has become decreasingly mobile in the last few years. This is the main product I use throughout his bungalow. The bottle is rather long and thin; with a bright yellow outer layer; so you can spot this product in the massive pile of other cleaning products in a bucket. I particularly don;t like how the product is contained inside the container, I feel ...  Read the complete review
