Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, nice smell
Disadvantages: None at all
Previously called Jif [isn't that similar to the lemon stuff they put on pancakes?] Cif is a group of household cleaning products that come in the form of a spray, a foam or in the instance of this item a cream. They aim at providing customers with a range of simple and efficent products to make cleaning the kitchen and bathroom of your home or whatever less time consuming and stressful.
Living alone and being a single male student, I always struggle with finding the motavation to clean nasty areas like the kitchen sink and surfaces. Things I've tried in the past have cost an arm and a leg and haven't really done a lot at all except made my arms tired from excess scrubbing. When browsing round Asda I came across a 500ml bottle of CIF Lemon Cream for only 1.00. At such an amazing price, I didn't really set any high standards but the bright yellow covering instantly attracted me and the instructions on the back are fairly straight forward.
I find a lot of cleaning products have a strong smell that actually puts me off using them but upon opening CIF you instantly get that familiar bleach smell though it's mixed in with lemon obviously and actually has quite a nice aroma. It's just a case of applying the cream to surfaces in small amounts and then after a moment or two wiping away with a wet cloth.
I was amazed at how it literally removed limescale and food from the oven in virtually one wipe and it also did an impressive job on the rest of the kitchen. It obviously doesn't make everything all nice and sparkly like is pictured on the back but it definately comes pretty damn close. It also doesn't take much time either which is great if you have a lot to do and of course the low price is also an advantage.
The bottle can also last a long time, providing you lose it wisely so it's literally a winner all round.
Summary: It makes me feel domesticated
