Cif Cream and it's related products are really great cleaning tools in my opinion because they are so versatile and easy to use. Cif is a really simple product and really does the job. I really like the fact that when you look at the list of ingredients it's very small and does not contain a lot of the harsh chemicals that a lot of other cleaning products do.

Cif is a brand of cleaning products by Unilever, The product was known as Jif in Great Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Hong Kong until 2001 when the name was changed to Cif in order to harmonise marketing and product inventories across the continent.

I generally use the Cif cream with the lemon scent because it makes claim that, "Cif cream tackles the toughest cleaning jobs in the kitchen, bathroom and all around the home including garden furniture and barbeques," and it really does. Recently I have found a CIF product for one of my least favourite tasks in the world, cleaning the oven! I hate cleaning the oven becasue it is so tricky to get into all of the small spaces and you end up getting really dirty and smelly yourself as I hate the smell a dirty oven gives off. I decided to try the Cif Oven Cleaner and it says it's tough on grease and burnt on food. This had to be better than scrubbing for hours on stains that generally won't go away.

The Cif product is really easy to use and I like the fact that it doesn't take much of an effort on your part to use it. It comes with a spray top so you basically spray it all over the surface of your oven until all the surfaces are covered. Do make sure that the oven is completely cold though and hasn't been used recently. The cleaner is a yellow gel colour and has quite a thick consistency to it. What I like is that it coats the surfaces and then because it's a gel it stays put instead of dripping off and down the oven to the bottom which is great because you know al the surfaces are getting the effect of the cleaner. The gel has a slight lemon scent to it, not too overpowering that your oven smells chemically but a nice fresh smell that will make your oven smell lovely. The amount of time you leave the cleaner in the oven is up to you. If you have light to medium soiled areas you leave it for 15 minutes, 30 minutes for medium soiled areas and 30 to sixty minutes for heavy soiled areas. Then when you are done wipe off and I guarantee you you will have a lovely, sparkly clean oven.

The Cif oven cleaner bottle is really easy to find on the shelves. It is a light lime green colour with Cif Oven Cleaner written on the front and a picture of a bright clean oven. It is fume free which is nice if you are allergic to cleaning products or just do not like the smell. A 500ml bottle which does last quite a long time is only £3.99 so as well as being an excellent, effective product it is cheap too!
