It still smells! (Cif Fume Free Oven Spray)

Advantages: It does clean the oven

Disadvantages: Not so good on the door

As a student, I havent cleaned the inside of my oven all year. How gross I hear you cry, well I live in a flat with just me and my boyfriend and we barely use it. However the time is coming up when I move out and want to get the deposit back.

I bought this particular oven cleaner, as I was overwhelmed by the choice in Morrisons and so just went for a brand I knew, it cost me around £3.50.

It says to leave on for about 30 - 60 minutes for heavily soiled. So I guessed I would be in that category. I sprayed it all over the inside of the oven (electric) and left it for an hour. I also opened all the windows as it had a very strong scent of lemon which made me feel a bit sick.

I then scrubbed the oven (wearing rubber gloves) pretty hard for a while, then got some water to remove all the cleaner. It does work, a lot of black burnt bits came off, and my oven now looks fit for deposit returning.

The only thing I had trouble cleaning was the door, I had to scrub really hard for it to make any sort of difference. I think years of the oven not being cleaned by previous residents has ingrained it with dirt.

I didnt use all the bottle so will give it another go just before I move out.

I know it says fume free, but it still smells, and definately open all the windows if you dont like the smell of cleaning products.

Summary: I will use it again
