If there was a prize for the world's worst window cleaner, I would certainly get it. My talent isn't restricted to windows either. I can make a mirror look worse than it did before I cleaned it. Somehow, I can make a window that's a little bit dirty into a streaky mess. I was sceptical when I first decided to try Cif Glass & Window Wipes because I had tried so many different things to solve the problem. A pack of Cif window wipes cost around £1.40 and you get 20 good sized moist glass cleaning wipes for your money. I have no idea how big these wipes actually are but they are big enough to get hold of without having to hold them with the ends ... Read the complete review

I'm not big on cleaning. It's not like cooking where people gather round and enjoy the results. I get a sense of relief when I've cleaned something, but it's got nothing to do with pleasure in the way that the house looks. It's just the knowledge that it's done and I won't have to clean it again until disgust drives me to do so. At school we did "Domestic Science". I think it's called Home Economics now, but in those days the object was to turn out girls who "did" either for themselves or for others. The teacher would tell us that a house should be clean enough to be hygienic and dirty enough to be a home. ... Read the complete review

All forms of housework repel me, and cleaning windows has to be the most repellant of all. But, realizing I hadn?t cleaned mine for a good year the other day, I bit the bullet and went down to the supermarket to get some solution. I?ve always used old-fashioned pink windolene ? damned hard work but very effective. However, my local Sainsbury?s didn?t have any, so I needed to choose another option. I went for Cif Glass and Window Wipes, mainly because they were a BOGOF, and partly because the blurb on the pack made it seem so wonderfully easy. I came away with two packs, each containing 20 extra large wipes, for a little over a pound, and a sense of ... Read the complete review

I have read quite a few opinions on Cif Glass and Window Wipes, some favourable, some not so favourable, so I decided that the only way to be certain was to try them myself. The first opinion that I had read was really scathing saying that these wipes were hopeless. I now know that I should have trusted that opinion, but I went on to read some more opinions which were enthusiastic about the wipes so I decided to give them a try, even if I just got a good opinion out of them it would be something! I got my pack of window wipes and read the wording ‘quick, easy, sparkling results’. Great, I thought, just what I want, I hate cleaning windows at ... Read the complete review

Having read a number of opinions of Cif glass and window wipes I decided to go out and buy a packet (£1.50 for 20 large wipes, from ASDA) having missed out on the freebie that everyone else talks about. They come in a blue packet similiar to baby wipes with a resealable sticker. Once I arrived at home I couldn't wait to see if they were as good as most people make out. I opened the packet and pulled the first wipe out. It is about the same size as a baby wipe (such as pampers) is moist and smells slightly citrus. The wipe feels quite soft and is made from quite large fibres. The bathroom mirror was the first to great a going over. Initially ... Read the complete review
