Advantages: ok for small areas

Disadvantages: smears, quite expensive

In the title of this op, I have put "The Sun gives it all away, this is because I have just cleaned my windows at night.
As you know when the sun comes out, it shows all the dust and grime on your windows, now it will show the smears.

I have just come back from shopping at Asda, fairly unusual for me as I have been using Tescos online service recently.
I felt like a change as I needed some retail therapy, I was hoping to buy loads of bargains from George at Asda (clothing).
Instead I came back with loads of junk food and a packet of these Cif Window Wipes what everybody seems to be going on about.

I paid £1.58 for a packet of 20 extra large wipes, if these are extra large I would love to see the small ones.
If anyone has bought baby wipes before I would say they are not much bigger than those.

I unpacked the shopping and set to work, I must be sad getting excited about testing this product out.
I opened the pack, it's a blue covering with clouds all over it along with gleaming windows, sinks and mirrors. Oh good I thought mine will look like that in a few minutes.

The wipes were rather like tumble dryer sheets (ie Bounce) and were very thin, not at all what I was expecting, but then again a wipes a wipe.
They had a nice smell to them rather like the Cif cleaning liquid for the bathroom.
They are said to contain alcohol in them which helps to combat the dirt collected on your windows etc. I think it was more likely that they had oil in them as they were very greasy.
When I wiped my windows , straight away I saw them smearing, I thought that maybe in a minute it would disappear. But no they seemed to be going worse. In fact they looked rather cloudy, I know it's nightime and I'm tired but my eyes were still in focus.

I ended up using paper kitchen towel to wipe the smudges away. Well I will see in the morning what they really look like, that's if the sun come
s out.

Next time I will be trying vinegar, water and newspaper.

The window cleaner has been and he asked what have I been doing to my window, "Oh a bird plopped on them I said", I didn't let on how silly I must have looked cleaning my windows in the nude. Well of course it was dark....

Even though I have rated recommend to a friend, this would only be to use on small items, like mirrors or computer screens.
