Advantages: Great for a freshen up of your bathroom
Disadvantages: Needs elbow grease to remove stubborn stains
The last time I used Cif Mousse for cleaning my bathroom, they were still manufacturing the 'mint' variety. That was certainly a few years ago. A few weeks ago, I noticed that Cif Mousse was on a special offer and decided to give it a go. Really for a change from my usual product, more than anything else.
This bathroom mousse comes in a 500ml can with a clear plastic, dome shaped lid. The fragrance I chose was Citrus Burst which comes in a green can. On the front of the can it says:
1 Spray
2 Leave
3 Rinse
I gave the can a good shake before I used it. When I took off the lid, I found a white plastic, spray nozzle. I found it very easy to spray the mousse. I pointed the nozzle towards the bath and sprayed the mousse from a distance of about 12 inches. When the mousse comes out it looks nice and foamy. Although it contains chemicals, this mousse does have a very pleasant citrus fragrance.
This is where the 1,2 and 3 comes in.
I sprayed the mousse onto the bath.
Left it to work, for about ten minutes.
Then I rinsed it away.
I used my shower head to rinse the bath as I found this to be the easiest. The mousse rinsed away easily and my bath was left looking sparkling clean and smelling fresh.
I also used this mousse on my toilet and washbasin, with the same results.
There were no difficult marks or stains to be removed from my bathroom, and this mousse worked very well. I have since tried it on a few more difficult to remove stains. I had to use a bit of elbow grease along with the mousse to successfully remove these stains.
My opinion of this bathroom mousse is that, it is brilliant for freshening up my bathroom if I am short of time. I would not use it for my thorough weekly clean. I am sticking to my usual brand for this.
Cif Bathroom Mousse is made by Unilever. All the instructions for use are printed on the back of the can. You will also find all the cautions, precautions and ingredients listed on the back of the can.
This comes in three fragrances:
Citrus Burst
Lemon Fresh
Artic Fresh
I bought mine from Tesco, when it was on offer, for 99p. It usually retails for around £1.39.
Summary: Leaves your bathroom smelling fresh and clean.....

- 28/10/08 My mum laughed at me when I really expected this to constantly clean the bath with just a spray and rinse. Works great for a quick clean in between proper cleans. |
