Advantages: Easy cleaning - not much effort

Disadvantages: Quite a strong scent for the kitchen

I'm not terribly loyal when it comes to cleaning materials - when I need something I usually I just go to the supermarket and get whatever is on special offer that fits the bill. One week, the result of this haphazard approach was returning with a bottle of Cif Oxy Clean Ocean Gel Spray.

Generally I love the scent of sea/mineral items and so I was quite happy with my bargain and I know it doesn't have anything to do with the cleaning power but I really liked the colour, really fresh and clean.

So I tried it out on the kithen and I have to say, although it wasn't especially greasy or dirty, it did shine up my work surfaces lovely with not a great deal of effort on my part (which is the kind of cleaning that I like the best). However, the mineral smell, although I didn't dislike it in itself, was quite strong and it just didn't say 'kitchen' to me.

So I tried it in the bathroom and it did a great job on the shower screen and tray - again with little effort and this time the smell was lovely, really fresh and clean and bathroom-y. So while I wouldn't use it again in the kitchen - I would definitely recommend it for the bathroom both in terms of cleaning power and in terms of the scent.

Summary: Great in the bathroom!
