“ Brand: Cif / Type: Room & Linen Spray / Category: Home Fragrance „
My choice of bathroom cleaner does tend to be what is on offer I'm afraid, I am not particularly loyal to one brand, but do tend to prefer to by more eco-friendly things if the price is right. With this is mind I saw Cif powerpro naturals at just over half the normal price, a 750ml bottle usually costs £3.00 and I bought it for £1.75.
**** THE PACKAGE ****
The spray comes in the usual spray gun bottle. The bottle is a dark green in colour but you are still able to see through it and identify when getting low on spray. I think the colour is probably a direct link to the fact that they produce powerpro naturals as a greener alternative than some other products, add the small flowers and you get the idea.
The spray gun itself is easy to use and only has spray or stop going in one direction so it is easy to control and makes it simpler to not forget to click into stop.
On the back is the sticker with all the relevant information for manufacturers, safety precautions and ingredients. This is where they also bring in the claims of the product.
- cuts through lime scale
- removes dirt easily
- made from 98% naturally derived water and plant based derivatives
They also have a logo saying they are part of the voluntary sustainability initiative.
**** LETS GET SCRUBBING AND SEE IF THE CLAIMS WIPE CLEAN ****
Pump action device is simple to use and the spray is controlled to pretty much where you want it, giving a good coat of the liquid each time.
The smell is not particularly bleach but it is quite strong, fresh and gives you the smell of a newly cleaned bathroom. Citrus in base I think with a hint of flowers to try and cover the cleaner smell; it's not unpleasant and is more than adequate for bathroom cleaner.
The instructions say to leave the spray of for a few seconds then wipe away with a damp cloth. I have to say mine is usually left for a couple of minutes as I spray the entire bathroom and then work my way round. I wipe with a damp cloth and get a slightly foamy effect on the bath and it easily washes away day-to-day grime with not hard effort on my part.
I have a sparkly clean fresh smelling bathroom at the end of it and that is all I require.
The product should not be used on porous items like marble, natural stone or on painted surfaces and cracked enamel according to the bottle, but this is the same as most products.
Overall very happy to recommend and purchase again.
Review maybe posted on dooyoo and ciao under the same username.
When it comes to cleaning products I tend to buy whatever is on offer and lets face it most of the time there is a cleaning product offer on somewhere whether in a supermarket or discount store. Recently I needed to top up on a few products or most importantly a bathroom cleaner. I'm not fussy about brands at all just as long as it does the job then I'm happy. On offer in Tesco a few months ago was the Cif PowerPro Naturals Bathroom Cleaner.
Cif is a brand that I have used before many times and have bought a variety of their products and have always been quite happy with their results. Cif is a household brand, you'd be hard pushed to find someone that although may not have used their products but would definitely have heard of the brand name. The Cif PowerPro Naturals Bathroom Cleaner was brought out a few months ago and is only just being advertised on the TV.
What is it?
Cif PowerPro Naturals Bathroom Cleaner is obviously a bathroom cleaner! Cif's newest bathroom cleaner has been specifically formulated from 98% of naturally derived cleaning power which includes citric acid. It's natural(ish) formula helps to tackle dirt and limescale which can build up in the bathroom.
Cif advise that this bathroom cleaner can tackle most bathroom grime such as toothpaste, make up, soap stains, water marks and can be used on a whole host of surfaces such as ceramics, chrome, enamel and plastic which makes it an incredibly versatile cleaner around the bathroom.
The Cif PowerPro Naturals Bathroom Cleaner comes in a grass green plastic trigger spray bottle which on the front label features the Cif logo together with an image of small flowers and leaves (to give the natural theme) all in a blue and green theme. On the back of the bottle there is a small amount of product information together with how to use it, ingredients, warnings and contact information for Cif. The bottle being as green as it is, can be easily spotted on the shelf of a supermarket!
Obviously being a trigger spray bottle it isn't hard to use as you simply point and spray (it does have the safety lock where you can twist round the end of the spray to open and close). The spray is clear in colour, if anything it has a slight milkiness to it. The smell of the cleaner isn't as strong as others or at least doesn't have a typical cleaner aroma to it instead it is quite citrusy which is quite pleasant and makes a change from other bathroom cleaners.
The spray comes out in a fine mist but it doesn't go everywhere which is nice so you can clearly see where it has landed to make it easy to wipe. I have been using the Cif bathroom spray for a few months now and have been incredibly pleased with the overall results. It is easy to use and incredibly easy to wipe up and it doesn't leave water marks or any residue behind which is obviously great. It also manages to leave behind a faint citrusy scent which is a lot more pleasant than a typical cleaner smell and lasts for quite a few hours after using it.
The one thing I must say is that I clean my bathroom twice a week and will regularly wipe over the tiles with a handy cleaning wipe so there is never any bathroom grime to really clean up apart from the odd little sprinkling of dust that can occur so I can't really comment on how well it cuts through bathroom grime! However, I have used it in the main family bathroom which my partner uses and he forever leaves blobs of liquid soap or toothpaste in the sink and this manages to cut through it and clear it off straight away without a problem.
I am really happy with this bathroom cleaner, it leaves my bathroom sparkling clean and it protects all the surfaces I have used it on. It makes a nice change from the other regular cleaners on the market simply due to its more refreshing smell. I really can't find fault with it as it does the job I need it to do and leaves my bathroom incredibly clean. 5 stars from me.
