Cillit Bang Power Grime & Lime Cleaner Trigger

Cillit Bang! We’ve all seen the adverts I’m sure. Seemingly exaggerated claims about cleaning everything from showers to pennies. We’ve seen it all before; usually on a shopping channel. Miracle products that claim so much yet fail to deliver. Why do we ever fall for the claims? Is it just our hatred of cleaning and the thought that this one product might make life just a little easier? There has to be a product that bucks the trend. INTRO I have problems keeping the flat clean, any suggestions are welcome. I saw the advertisements for Cillit Bang, have you seen them, promising to clean almost anything. So I kept an eye open at the supermarkets I shop in. Finally I saw the product on the shelves of my local Waitrose. It stayed there for 2/3 weeks whilst I plucked up enough courage to purchase. My other half returned from an unescorted foray into civilisation bearing a lurid purple bottle of Cillit Bang with is clashing orange lid as an unexpected gift. Oh the joys of being married for over a decade. I refrained from reciprocating the sentiment with a blowing glance of a Le Cruset frying pan to the skull. Wouldn't want to seem ungrateful, especially as I will grudgingly admit he does have a point. When I first started writing reviews and thinking about all the things I would like to write about, I'd imagine myself writing about music, theatre, film...things like that. I didn't expect to review Cillit Bang! Especially not favourably, could their adverts be any more hate provoking? However, having in desperation put aside my advert prejudices and given it a go, the results were rather amazing. Really, seriously, unbelievably amazing. I must admit that when it comes to cleaning products I don't tend to pay over the odds for them. The truth is I often feel that they are not that effective in general and just make your bathroom and kitchen etc smell nice and don't do much else. I am quite old fashioned when it comes to cleaning and like good old bleach, vinegar and a good bit of elbow grease!
