Advantages: It definitely cleans things

Disadvantages: It smells bad and what on earth is in it?

This is one strong product. Advertised as Cillit Bang Power Cleaner Grime & Lime NEW Concentrated Formula This is definitely one of those squirty bottles that needs careful reading of the label!

It contains 5% non-ionic surfectants, cationic surfactants, perfume and offers a web address on the bottle for further ingredients? All I know is that I left it on my kitchen taps for too long and it melted the hot and cold plastic colours!

It is packaged in an eyecatching Orange and Purple bottle and "Barry" from the adverts does a great job in showing us what this wonder product is capable of. Now I haven't tried the penny dipping test - tho I don't doubt it for a moment, but I have used it on my oven top, oven shelves and stained kitchen sink and it did the trick as well as unblocking our shower.

They suggest 1 squirt for light cleaning (dirt and dust in the kitchen, tiles floors, worktops etc), 2-3 for medium cleaning (soapscum & grease in the bathroom & kitchen, showers, glass & acrylic shower cubicles, bathtubs and window frames) and 4-5 squirts for tough cleaning (limescale, taps, sinks, shower heads, toilets, pipes.

It is NOT suitable for Hot or Damaged surfaces, acid sensitive surfaces, marble, brass, copper, aluminium, satined fittings, lino, textiles, carpets, natural stone, plated meetals, rubber, varnished waxed or oiled floors, etched or matt glass - that's quite a list for a household cleaner not to be able to work on.

As for my experience, I simply just don't like the smell, it is chemical and strong, there is a light perfume but it doesn't mask this. Also it's not one of those products that I'd like to get on my skin, I don't mind if I'm splashed by a bit of bleach but this product disturbs me. I also like to have an all round cleaner like Dettol, Squirty Bleach or Flash which are just as good and don't melt my kitchen.

Sorry Cillit Bang - you frighten me

Summary: Strong, scary and not for me
