Advantages: Smells fantastic, lasts for ages

Disadvantages: None for me

You know when you wander round garden centre gift shops and see the displays of scented candles, drawer liners, pot pourri etc. - do you ever stop and have a sniff? OK - next question - do you then decide not to bother because the fragrance never lasts anyway? Well that's what I always used to think, until I discovered Claremont and May.

They do a wide range of fragrances as follows:

Fragrance Layers
Champagne and roses
Honey and vanilla
Orange grove
Lilac and lavender

Essential Fragrances
Amberwood blue
Cinnamon
Coconut
Cucumber and mint
Frangipani
Honeysuckle and jasmine
Jacaranda wood and citrus
Mango and papaya
Orchid
Oriental lime and ginger
Paradise
Passion fruit and melon
Pink pepper and lotus pod
Pomegranate
Sweet bay and citrus
Water lily

Now I hope you know me better than to think that I have put that list in to make up the number of words in the review!

Seriously the fragrances in this range are SO nice that I thought I would list them so that you could see if there was a favourite of your amongst them, because they really are worth looking out for.

My particular favourite is the Champagne and Roses fragrance and the first item that I purchased was the fragrance sack to put in my underwear drawer. Normally with these things the smell has all but disappeared within a week, but not so with these.

Thus began my love affair with Claremont and May Champagne and Roses.

The products on offer are as follows:

Loose pot pourri
Packaged pot pourri
Fragrance sacks
Room spray
Home fragrance oil
Fragranced t lights
Scented wooden balls
Drawer liners
Drawer sachets
Candles
Incense set

The one that I am going to tell you about today is the Room Spray at about £4.50 for a 100ml bottle.

The bottle itself is made from opaque glass with a silver coloured pull off top which reveals the spray. It is about 8 inches tall but only about an inch and a half in diameter.

There is a band round the bottle telling you what fragrance is contained and some cautionary information. The liquid inside is light pink in colour so the whole thing looks very classy.

The product is supposed to 'bring a burst of fragrance to any room' and it does exactly that!

The smell as you would expect is flowery and light although I probably wouldn't have identified it as roses. In my opinion the smell is absolutely lovely - it isn't too sweet or too sickly - it isn't too spicy or too strong - it is just right! Oh dear - I seem to have had a Goldilocks moment there!

All I need is a quick spray in a room and the fragrance lingers for ages. When I know someone is coming to view the house I have a quick spray round with this. Sadly we haven't sold the house yet but I'm sure the room spray isn't responsible!

Obviously you are advised not to spray onto a naked flame, any incandescent material or any fabrics or furnishings.

The main thing that I have found with the Claremont and May items that I have purchased so far is that the smell actually lasts without being sickly or overpowering.

I often have a sniff of some of the other fragrances when we are having a mooch in one of the garden centres and I do like the orange grove and the lavender and lilac too but champagne and roses has to be my favourite.

By the way I have just checked and I have written over 500 words without the additional words in the lists! LOL!

Summary: A great fragrance to make your room smell wonderful!

Thats quite a lot for a small bottle, but if it works, and lasts, then money well spent. Nicola x
