Advantages: good value for money, concentrated liquid, long lasting super-fresh scent, conditions fabrics
Disadvantages: none
Doing the laundry is not exactly an exciting task, but there are certain things which can make it that little bit more enjoyable. For me, it's all about the different scents. I love using scented ironing water and choosing a new fabric conditioner can be just as fun as choosing a new perfume, and it's a lot cheaper! Comfort is a brand that I tend to favour for the simple reason of my mum always used to use it when I lived at home. I've used Comfort products for years since moving out on my own, and like to try out all the different varieties. I recently tried this Blue Skies version and it has immediately taken its place at the top of my favourites!
Comfort Concentrated Fabric Conditioner can be bought from most good supermarkets and many high street discount stores. I picked up a 455ml bottle from Poundland, where of course it cost me just £1.00. This is great value for money, and seeing as I only have to do the laundry for myself the smaller size suited me well.

This fabric conditioner comes in an ordinary plastic bottle that has a screw top plastic lid. The bottle is made of a solid white plastic which is somewhat annoying as it obscures vision and you can't see how much is left inside the bottle from looking at it, meaning I have to peer inside the top to guess how many uses I have left. The lid works as a measuring device for dispensing the correct amount of fabric conditioner per wash. This is very handy, and it has a neat little lip inside the lid so that any drips or spills get caught and end up back in the bottle rather than all over the floor. The conditioner itself has a nice bright blue colour and a gorgeous scent.
These days I always prefer to go for the more environmentally friendly products, and this concentrated fabric conditioner certainly fits the bill. Comfort Concentrate uses over 50% less packaging per wash compared to Comfort Regular, so not only are your clothes left feeling soft and smelling fresh, you're helping to care for the environment as well. This essentially means that less plastic is required for packaging and fewer lorries are required for transporting larger products.

Directions for use: For large loads or extra softness and freshness, 6-7kg = 55ml (around 1.5 caps). For normal loads, 4-5kg = 35ml, (one cap). For hand washing, 10L =18ml, (around half a cap). To Use: Dose straight into your washing machine drawer. Wash hands after use. Do not pour directly onto fabrics. Keep away from eyes. If product gets into eyes rinse thoroughly with water.
This is very simple to use, just stick it into the fabric conditioner section of the washing machine's drawer and away you go. Because it is a concentrated liquid you don't need to use a great deal of it per wash, and so the bottle can last for ages. The fragrance is also concentrated and you get a lovely strong scent that really permeates the fabrics that you're washing. The fragrance is where this fabric conditioner really stands out against the rest. It has a beautiful fresh, clean smell that comes across as being natural and not at all chemical or synthetic - it's like a real breath of fresh air! I live by the seaside and the scent reminds me of a crisp sea breeze but without the saltyness. The fabric conditioner is strongly fragranced and perfumes the whole house as I dry my washing inside during the bad weather. My clothes and other bits of laundry always come out of the wash looking fresh, clean and well cared for. This fabric conditioner does seem to help keep the fabrics soft and in good condition after washing. As well as that, the scent really seems to last for a long time after drying, unlike some other conditioners. I still get that lovely freshly washed scent up to a week or so after I've had my laundered clothes stored away in the cupboard, and it's lovely that they retain the scent as I think it helps them to seem thoroughly refreshed and cleaned.
I paid £1.00 for my 455ml bottle of Comfort Concentrate fabric Conditioner, and it states on the bottle that this amount provides 13 washes. I only do one or two loads of laundry per week, so this lasts me for a reasonably long period of time, although I love getting the extra burst of the fresh scent that this conditioner has, so I often tend to use the larger recommended amount which means I can get through of bottle of it a bit quicker than usual. I think it is great value for money and does a wonderful job of refreshing and caring for my clothes as well as giving them a lovely fragrance. This is the nicest, freshest fabric conditioner that I have ever used and I will certainly be buying it again! I would recommend this fabric conditioner to anyone and give it a well deserved 5 stars.
Summary: So fresh and so clean!
