An Asda bargain
I do like my washing to smell nice, and recently I purchased this fabric conditioner when doing an online shop. The sound of it appealed to me as I love fruity fragrances, and so did the price as I purchased this for £2 from Asda. This was for a 1.2litre bottle, which equates to 32 washes. You can also purchase a 750ml bottle which is £1.80 in Asda at the moment. However at full price, a bottle can cost twice as much as this so do shop around!
This product comes in a very feminine bottle which is pretty much pink from top to bottom! The Asda website describes this fabric conditioner as "gorgeous" and "dazzling" and promises "100% more fragrance in every drop" (whatever this means...).
Using the product
This has a screwtop lid and is simple to pour into the drawer of my washing machine. The bottle does advise you as to how much to use depending on your washload, but to be honest I just poured in a good glug! The smell is very nice and I can clearly smell strawberry, as well as the floral scent of the lily. This is quite unusual for a laundry product I think, and to be honest I wouldn't object to a shower gel with this fragrance! It is fruity and sweet, but it is also quite strong and I can imagine some people wouldn't really like this. But I do like these types of fragrance, and was keen to see how the fragrance transferred to my clothes.
After doing my usual 30 degree wash, I instantly noticed that my clothes had a sweet and fruity fragrance. Again it is a little strong and probably not to everyone's taste but I found I quite liked it. The scent isn't as distinctly that of strawberry and lily as it is in the bottle, but it is definitely a pleasant scent. Again I find it to be quite a feminine fragrance - although my husband and son have not complained about the smell on their clothes (although the latter is only four months and doesn't seem that concerned about such things yet).
I also noticed that my clothes felt really soft after using this conditioner and definitely more so than if I had just used my usual washing liquid. They have an almost silky feel to them which is lovely, and shows that this is a high quality product.
In summary ...
Overall I like this fabric conditioner. It has a lovely fruity fragrance both in the bottle and on the clothes after washing. It also leaves my clothes lovely and soft which is of course an added bonus. For the £2 I paid I am really happy with the product. However I can imagine some people really not liking the smell of this so if you don't want fruity clothes, then it may be best to give this one a miss!
~ Comfort Exhilarations Strawberry & Lily Kiss ~
I always use Ariel washing powder as I feel this offers superb cleaning and leaves clothes brilliantly clean and smelling great, but sometimes when the fancy takes it (when it's on offer!) I do use a fabric softener. About a year or so ago this particular Comfort was on offer in Asda at the bargain price of £1. Of course I bought it, with the thought that the two scents are two I very much like.
The bottle is quite attractive and coloured in pinks and purples, it's a slightly curvy plastic bottle which has the measuring style cap that most fabric softeners have.
Whenever I buy a scented product that I have not tried before I very often have to take a sniff before buying it and that is exactly what I did with this and in all honesty I wasn't very taken with it, but it was only £1 and I thought the scent would alter when it was actually used.
As always I popped the clothes in the washing machine, poured the Ariel powder into the drawer and then poured the fabric softener into the correct compartment. I put the washer on and let it do it's job. When the load had finished I pulled the laundry out and it smelt okay. I could smell the washing powder more than the fabric softener but they felt okay and were soft already.
After drying the laundry in the tumble dryer I have to be honest and say I found the resulting scent a little off putting. It seemed very sickly to me, and the strawberry seemed very over powering. I don't know if it was because I was pregnant at the time but I really wasn't at all taken with this. I thought it may have just been me but my hubby said the clothes smelt a little sweet!
The clothes were left nice and soft so in that sense it did do it's job it's just the scent was way too sickly for me.
I only used it the once and I then passed it onto my step mum as she quite liked the scent.
Overall as a fabric softener it did do well, I just couldn't stomach the sickly sweet strawberry scent it left on my clothes. The strawberry scent came through as really synthetic and too sweet.
At the same time I also purchased the green bottle of this which is Melon & Lotus Flower Lift, this one I found much better, so as a whole the Exhilarations range is good I just didn't get along with the Strawberry & Lily Kiss.
I found the green one to be a much fresher scent on the clothes without the sickly sweetness.
Thanks for reading :o) x
I have been living away from my parents since the age of seventeen and have educated myself slowly but surely through the process of cleaning and drying clothes without disastrous results - thus leading me to try a number of different products by millions of brand names that all claim to do the same thing but never seem to offer the best quality for the money you spend whether it's cheap or not.
I've used products from lines such as lenor, ariel, persil and even supermarket's own brands and I've never been able to get hold of that special something that makes me feel okay spending a lot of money on it just to wash my clothes. I've found that opting for cheaper brands equals a thinner and more liquid based softener rather than a rich creamy texture and therefore it isn't really beneficial to opt for a cheaper product as I find myself using much more than I should as my clothes won't feel soft otherwise!
Finally comfort came out with a refreshing new line of fragrances that weren't your typical 'lavender' or 'fresh laundry' scents, which in my opinion are far too 'floral' and over powering for my liking. My favourite one is the strawberry and lily kiss fabric softener and though i'm not normally a strawberry fan - the mixture of the two scents makes it really enjoyable and makes your clothes smell divine. I never thought that at 21 years old I'd be excited about finding the perfect fabric softener but after a number of mishaps and card board like clothing you'll do anything to have your washing just like your mum used to do it for you.
Now I have peace of mind knowing that I can spend around £3/£4 per bottle and use a sufficient amount and still have thoroughly conditioned clothes that aren't overpowered by the fragrance. The scent is a gentle and sweet smell that even boys like (confirmed by my boyfriend as he doesn't want us to buy anything other than this one!) I appreciate it even more so when I have to place my washing on the radiators as the smell lingers through the house and makes me feel quite cheerful believe it or not.
I really do appreciate good quality fabric softeners that are a fair price to pay. Before I was a bit unsure about paying more than the usual 'less than two quid' supermarket stuff, but it's definitely worth it to chuck in a couple of quid more because it lasts much longer.
I have been using this particular fabric softner now for a few months and have found that it is not only the nicest smelling, but that the scent really comes through on your washing even after it has dried, unlike most which smell nice whilst your clothes are damp and then the smell fades in drying. Everytime I place the liquid in my washing machine I have a sneaky smell of the bottle and it smells almost good enough to eat. I place this in the drawer and put detergent in the machine to make sure my boyfriends' smelly football kit and underwear comes out smelling better than the perfume section in boots. I haven't tried any of the other scents but think I may treat myself soon. Use this, you won't be disappointed ! ! ( The pink bottle with foral detail on looks cute too ! ! )
Although I always try and use a good quality washing powder to ensure that my clothes are left really clean and fresh I am a big fan of fabric softener not only to make clothes smell that extra bit clean but also to ensure that the fabric is left soft. Having a partner who works in mechanics also means that I need to constantly ensure that all of the smells are taken out of clothes when they are washed to ensure that the diesel fumes are eliminated.
It is well known that Comfort are a leading brand in the manufacture of fabric softeners and so when I saw a bottle of this pink liquid on sale in my local Sainsbury's I was tempted to give it a go. Although this product can regularly retail for over £2 for 750ml of liquid, it can often be found in local convenience stores for half this price which was why I originally bought it for £1.
This fabric softener comes in a standard 750ml bottle with a pink wrapper to shroud the contents and promises to give 21 standard washes. The liquid is concentrated therefore you can rest assured that a little goes a long way and that Comfort have thought about the environment when manufacturing this product. The bottle is very feminine in look with a pink and strawberry illustrated wrapper which disguises the liquid inside which again is of a pearly pink colour and is quite thick in consistency. A good feature of the bottle is its screw top lid which is easy to take off and provides a convenient measuring device to ensure that correct quantities are used. I have generally found that ¾ of a cap is overly sufficient for a standard wash however you could get away with using more or less as you so desired.
The Product ~
The actual fabric softener has a beautiful smell which gives a fusion of strawberries, lily and candy sweetness however the strongest of these smells is the strawberry. I guess that you could add that this smell is quite girly, and being that the packaging is bright pink one would assume this from the outset, however the smell is soft enough to be disguised from a male wearer when using his regular deodorant and aftershave.
The product always works well in a wash by ensuring that the smell absorbs into every item of fabric in the machine. It is also very good at making the clothing touchably soft, which is noticeable when washing towels or other heavier fabrics.
My Experience ~
I have used this product regularly and have washed a variety of items with it. The fragrance of the product lingers long after the washing is taken out of the machine and therefore it is noticeable when washing is left on an airer inside the house and is also a lovely smell to have in your garden on a washing line. I find that the liquid lasts for quite a long time, and despite the fact that I do around three to four wash loads a week I can use this item for about two months before it needs replacing, using the principle less is more. Additionally, I do iron most of our clothes and have found that this fabric softener adds to the ease of ironing by ensuring the fabric is that little bit smoother out of the wash.
Although I do love the smell, and can safely say that it is one of my favourites, Comfort also produce a number of other scents in their 'Exhilarations' range for those who are not a big fan of strawberries but want the same great results.
I have scored this fabric softener 5 out of 5 stars due to its exceptional results.
Thank-you for taking the time to read my review.

I don't usually write reviews about this kind of thing but felt compelled to review the Comfort I am currently using in Strawberry and Lily Kiss.
I usually smell the conditioners in the supermarket and can't choose one as they all make me feel queasy so I tended to choose the plainest one I could find but I admit the pink packaging on this caught my eye and it was on offer for £2 so I bought a 1.5L bottle which will do 42 washes according to the label.
Wow what a lovely smell
This fabric conditioner smells beautiful in the bottle, not sickly but very sweet. I was amazed at how much it infused my washing and even my husband commented that his clothes smelt nice which would not usually be something he would say.
One day when the weather was bad I had to hang it up inside on the dryer instead of on the line and when we came back in the whole house (downstairs) had a lovely smell from the conditioner.
Baby clothes - you want to cuddle her even more!
The baby's clothes are all getting plenty of washes and it was nice to put her clean laundry away smelling so lovely. Her sleeping bag is especially good as it retains the smell of this product and I am just like the adverts, burying my face in it even after a couple of wearings as the comfort on it smells so gorgeous.
I bought another bottle of the same product the next time I was at the supermarket and at full price it was more expensive than other brands but I think it's worth paying around £1 more for as it makes so much difference.
Over time ...?
As time goes on, I think I will get more used to this fragrance and stop noticing it so much but at the moment it is a novelty. A word of warning though. The wasps seem to like this when it's on the line so just be careful if you use it when you're pegging out.
All in all I would say try it, you might not like it or find it too strong but I love it and have been converted to this product. I have tried the supermarket's own range of similar condition and it wasn't anywhere near as good as this.
I have a new love in my life; Mark needn't feel threatened, although my new object of affection definitely smells better! Strawberry and Lily Kiss is part of Comfort's Exhilarations range of fabric conditioner and it is absolutely bloody gorgeous.
Even the packaging is nicer than usual, a rich strawberry-like pink that really brightens the kitchen up and makes me feel all girly. The problem is uber-girly Hollie also loves it and from last month I've been forced to put it in a high cupboard to stop her applying it as moisturiser! Honestly, I've got a bathroom full of goodies and the child takes a like to the fabric conditioner!
Anyway, moisturising properties aside this is an excellent fabric conditioner. I've never been full of praise for any laundry product before; they either don't soften, make me itch, don't smell strongly/nicely enough - I could go on but there are a million things that can go wrong with fabric conditioner. But this one is just perfect, I'm so 100% happy with it that I've bought nothing else since I first discovered it in February. Apart from a rogue Wilko conditioner that seemed decidedly dowdy in comparison to the vibrancy that is a Strawberry and Lily Kiss.
From the bottle it smells delicious; but then they always do, even the ones that ultimately leave your washing smelling like mould. A single cap full is all you need for an absolutely amazingly scented load of washing, it definitely smells of strawberries but there's a floral undertone which I assume is the lily. I think part of the attraction for me is that this conditioner smells of the old Anglo bubble gum (before they took all the nasties out, goddam you EU!) and the smell of it takes me back to my childhood. Which is great as it usually feels so long ago!
The scent lingers on the clothes for a while even after they've been put away, obviously you're not going to smell it on a jumper that's been tucked away since Christmas but you can definitely get a decent whiff on an item that has been stored for a couple of weeks. It seems most intense when clothes are tumble dried which is presumably down to the heat but today I noticed that even when clothes have been hung on the line, rained on, dried, rained on AGAIN and dried AGAIN there is still more than a remnant of the deliciously sweet strawberry aroma.
The softening aspect is excellent too, when I do a load of jeans or towels I'll sometimes put an extra half cap in for that extra bit of softness but on other fabrics a single one is enough. To be fair, Comfort is always the most effective softening-wise but this one does take it a little bit further and leaves everything huggably soft. I love using this when I've washed my cuddly dressing gown as it makes the fluffy material so soft and snuggly, the smell is also a brill bonus on the days when I'm having a pampering session as it's so gorgeous.
This fabric conditioner has never caused any irritation, although the fact that it's so highly scented might make it problematic if you have particularly sensitive skin. I don't, but sometimes can get itchy when I use certain laundry products - the tropical scented Comfort does something strange to my skin so I was happy to find this one is so gentle. Another point worth mentioning is the fact that I also use this when washing my children's clothes, including my seven month old sons stuff, and none of them have had a reaction to it. I think the fact that Hollie coated herself from bellybutton to chin in neat Comfort shows how kind to the skin it is!
I'm currently using the large 42 wash sized bottle which I paid £3 when it was on special offer in one of the supermarkets (probably Tesco) but I honestly don't mind that the smaller 750ml bottle is more expensive than other Comfort products because I love it so much!
When it comes to fabric softener I use it every, single wash. I recently spotted this fabric conditioner costing only £1.00 a bottle instead of closer to £2.00 a bottle and giving an estimated 21 washes worth I thought that offered great value for money and I don't half do a lot of washing in my home as I'm so fussy!
The plastic bottle holds 750ml of the product and although the bottle is see-through it does have a light and dark pink plastic wrapper that goes around it with pictures depicted of strawberries and lilies on in it and a bright pink plastic twist on/off cap/lid to the top of it which also doubles up as a measurer when you use the product!
On the front of the bottle we are told that it is 'Exhilarations' Comfort Concentrate Fabric Conditioner Strawberry & Lily Kiss '21 Washes'. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, washing instructions are listed as is the size of it (as I have listed already) and contact details for Unilever (the manufacturer of the product) are given. Nice enough bottle and I do like the top of it it has an indentation there for ease of handling which is right handy.
The liquid is light pink and is rather runny but does have some body to it and a really nice sweet but also rather natural and refreshing smell of strawberries and soft florals to it. To me it is a very soft floral fragrance that is subtle but still apparent and I love the way it is so well blended.
To use it you simply pop it in the washer machine drawer. Measurements are given on the back of the bottle to how much you need to use depending on the load of washing you have but basically for a small load you need to use just over half of the cap and for a full load a full cap and that gives maximum softness to clothes. You can also use this when hand-washing though not very much of it!
I have used this for hand-washing with, just on some undies I couldn't put in the wash. It turned the water soft, didn't irritate my hands at all and rinsed out of fabrics with real ease and left my items soft and feeling and smelling fresh and that fragrance lasted over a whole week too when stored!
I used this in the washing machine in the main and again it left my items smelling wonderful for well over a week, soft and smooth and really easy to iron. My clothes and that felt great against my skin and I smelt extra nice and every way I look at this subtle, easy to use product I love it and will have no hesitation in purchasing it time and time again!
Available in all good supermarkets etc.

I am a bit frugal when it come to buying washing products and conditioners and do not read too much into products, ingredients etc. apart from the price. Since trying the Comfort Exhilarations Fabric Conditioner Strawberry and Lily Kiss I have changed my ways, or at least stocked up when it is on offer!
The brand Comfort has been around for just over forty years and is a household name when it comes to fabric conditioners, unsurprisingly it was the first of its kind launched in the UK. They have always been very innovative when it comes to TV campaigns, packaging and more importantly fragrances. The Comfort brand has recently joined forces with companies such as Mothercare and Debanhams promoting the companies line of products for sensitive skin particularly aimed at families with young children.
The Comfort Concentrate Fabric Conditioner Exhilarations Strawberry & Lily Kiss is part of the recent 'Exhilarations' range from Comfort. This series of fabric conditioners are all about the fragrance and senses these awaken in you when you use this with your clothes. The bottle comes in 1.5 litre and 750ml quantities priced at £3.00/£1.50 which is an average branded fabric conditioner price. The bottle is curved and has a removable cap from which you measure the liquid out into. This particular fragrance container is almost completely pink in colour, with pink flowers and the Comfort logo and a short description. It is definitely one for the ladies! All in all it is pleasing to the eye and recyclable packaging.
This conditioner is concentrated, which means that only small amounts of liquid is needed to fragrance and condition your clothes. An average wash of 4-5kg takes 35ml of conditioner and the 1.5 litre bottle states that you can get up to 42 washes out of the bottle (using the minimum amounts). You simply add the required amount to your washing machine drawer and voila. Comfort market the fact that this is friendly to the environment, being a concentrated formula means you have to buy less and as a result it uses less packaging materials, everyone is happy. I have gotten into my recycling recently and so to me this is good news. The liquid is quite thick and bright pink in colour.
You can tell on opening the bottle the fragrance of strawberry and lily kiss is definitely going to come out with your clothes after a cycle. It is very strong and sweet smelling, though not in a sickly way. The strawberries are the dominant scent in this fragrance with the lilies still coming through and smoothing out the tones; otherwise it would definitely be too much to take in. It is a very summery scent and so perfect timing to give this a go. As mentioned previously the products appearance and scent is very feminine, however my partner has thus far not complained or queried the smell.
After washing the strawberry and lily kiss scent it is not half as pungent as in the bottle, obviously, yet it does not disappear like so many other fabric conditioners I have used. It is more subtle yet clings to your clothes and remains until after your first wear and is really pleasant to smell. The product also contains Comfort 'easy iron' formula, but as I do not iron anything (the shame) I cannot comment on the reliability of this claim. Clothes not only have a great smell but shine after using this conditioner on them and are very soft to the touch. Thoough you use less liquid in the wash it still manages to condition the whole load as well as fragrancing them. All in all results are great and this really is the best smelling fabric conditioner I have used.
The Comfort fabric conditioner formula contains: 5-15% Cationic Surfactants , <5% Perfume, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzisothiazolinone .
Other fragrances in the 'Exhilarations' range are;
Bluebell and Bergamot Thrill
Blueberry and Jasmine Twist
Melon and Lotus Flower
Five out of five for Comfort :)
I tried the comfort exhilarations range when it was first released as it was on offers everywhere. When first releaseed there were 3 fragrances in the range, Strawberry and Lily Kisses, Blueberry and Jasmine Twist and Melon and Lotus Flower. Unilever have since added Bluebell and Bergamot Thrill to the range. You can buy the bottles containing either 21 washes or 42 washes, I have generally found that the smaller bottle goes on offer more than the bigger size. A 42 was bottle is generally £3.80 and the 21 wash bottle is about £2.20, the smaller bottle often goes on offer at a £1 when I make sure I stock up.
The bottles are in very striking rich colours, pink, purple, blue and green, this frangrance is the pink one and has a picture on the bottle of lilies with some strawberries faded out in the background. This is a concentrated fabric conditioner and therefore has less packaging than normal fabric conditioners thus helping the environment, they claim that the packaging is a full 50% less. The bottle is slightly curved to the top on one side of the bottle and curved more on the other side meeting at the top with a bright pink top. The top is used for the dosing, the 21 washes in the bottle are only for a normal 4 - 5 kg load so if you had a bigger washer you wouldn't expect to get 21 washes from it.
The frangrance I think is delightful, it is a really sweet smell when you smell it from the bottle and reminds me of strawberry hubba bubba chewing gum I used to have as a child. The smell isn't obviously as strong on the clothing but as soon as I open the washer I can smell it on the clothes, I can still smell the frangrance when I am ironing the clothing and although I cannot smell it in the wardrobes I can in the airing cupboard. When wearing the clothing washed in the conditioner I do often get a whiff of the conditioner so it is quite long lasting.
On the rear of the bottle the makers claim that this product makes your clothes easy to iron, I have not noticed any change in the ease of ironing when I am using this so I do not back up this claim. On the rear of the bottle you will also find the usual ingredients list along with address, web address and phone numbers for unilever. Apparently according to the rear of the bottle this product is recommended by Persil and Surf although I don't know how true this is I wouldn't think they would get away with printing this if it wasnm't.
I would certainly recommend this product, I love the smell and the fact that the frangrance does last although I would never buy this at full price as I just couldn't justify this with a family to take care of but when it's a £1 a bottle it's the only one I use.
When it comes to buying fabric softeners and washing powder I'm always looking out for a bargain and often end up going for whatever is on offer, meaning that I tend not to stick to one brand or one fragrance. A few weeks ago when shopping at Tesco I was on the hunt for some fabric softener and as usual studying the price tags to see what deal was the best. As I was looking up and down the shelves a bright pink bottle caught my eye, now loving anything pink I picked it up for a closer look, and I know its only a fabric softener but if something comes in a pink option I will go for it. The fabric softener was Comfort Concentrate Exhilarations Strawberry and Lily Kiss, I expected it to be a bit on the pricey side but was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it was on offer, as well as it being pink, it smelt lovely, so needless to say a bottle ended up in my trolley.
Comfort Concentrate Exhilarations Fabric Softener comes in a curvy plastic bottle, the whole thing is covered with a bright pink plastic label with pictures of strawberries and lilies on it. Right across the top of the bottle, near the neck is a bright yellow band with the words Great Value and 42 washes written across it in bright pink letters, personally I feel the yellow band spoils the look of the bottle and does not really fit in with the pink theme, but I guess that is the idea, to catch you attention. Right across the middle of the bottle is the word "exhilarations" this is written in white writing which is outlined in a dark pink, just below this is written "Comfort Fabric Conditioner" this is written in dark blue lettering, again this does not really blend in with the pink theme of the bottle, the "o" in comfort is written in a heart shape, there are small white flowers around the word comfort. Right at the bottom of the bottle is the fragrance of the fabric conditioner in this case "Strawberry and Lily Kiss", this is written in a dark pink outline in white . On the back of the bottle is various information about the product including recommendations of use, other fragrances you can buy and a small sentence about Comfort, all of this information is written in dark blue this makes it stand out against the pink label and also very easy to read. The bottle has a bright pink lid which simply screws onto the top of the bottle, this also doubles up as the measuring cap.
The Fabric Conditioner
The fabric condition is a very pale baby pink in colour, when you unscrew the lid you can instantly smell its lovely fragrance, I can really smell the strawberry in this fabric conditioner, I'm not sure what Lily Kiss is, I'm assuming the fragrance of Lily is also present, there is a slight sweet floral fragrance present which compliments the strawberry nicely, but the strawberry fragrance is definitely the dominant one in my opinion. The fragrance of this product is quite sweet, but not what I would call sickly sweet, it also has a freshness about it. After I washed my clothes using the Comfort Fabric Conditioner the light scent of strawberry hit me as soon as I opened the washing machine door, and the fragrance could also be smelt on all of my washing, I was very pleased about this as the fragrance of some fabric conditioners fades very quickly and cannot be smelt on the washing only a short time after removing it from the machine. The next test was whether I could still smell the fabric conditioner on the laundry after they had dried, the answer to this was yes, my washing was totally dry and I could clearly smell the scent of strawberries, the fragrance left my washing smelling extremely clean and fresh, what I particularly like was that obviously during the winter I am unable to hang my washing outside to dry so end up with most of it on the radiators, after using the Comfort Strawberry and Lily Kiss fabric conditioner I could smell the fragrance of it throughout the house as the washing dried rather than the usually wet washing smell you often get.
The bottle does not state whether this product is suitable for sensitive skin or not, personally I have not had a problem with it so far and in the past I have found that some fabric conditioners have irritated me and made my skin itch after frequent use. I have been using comfort Concentrate for several weeks now and so far me or my fiancé have not had a problem with it irritating our skin.
Directions for Use
This really depends on how you are washing your clothes and the size of the load, but on the back of the bottle there is a guide of how much to use, this is also demonstrated with pictures.
For a 6 to 7kg load - 55ml (a whole cap full)
For a 4 to 5kg load - 35ml (about half a cap full)
Hand washing - 18ml (about a quarter of a cap full)
You simply fill the cap up to where you require depending on the load size and pour straight into the machine draw, you must not pour the conditioner direct on to the clothes inside the machine.
Cleaner Planet Plan
Comfort is part of the Cleaner Comfort Plan, this is indicated on the back of the bottle, it states that Comfort concentrate uses over 50% less packaging, this demonstrates that Comfort is helping to care for the planet. There is also a website that you can visit to find out more information www.cleanerplanetplan.com, this is also printed on the back of the bottle.
Strawberry and Lily Kiss is just one of the fragrances in the Comfort Concentrate range, others include
Bluebell and Bergamot Thrill
Melon and Lotus Flower Lift
Berry and Jasmine Twist
As I have mentioned I bought my comfort Concentrate when it was offer at my local Tesco, the offer at the time was 2 1.5L bottles for £6.00, these are usually £3.88 each. although this is probably not the cheapest fabric conditioner you can buy, it is well worth the money and is also long lasting especially if you do not need to use a full cap full for each wash, personally i have found this to be very economical, I have definitely got my moneys worth.
The warning listed on the back of the bottle are pretty much standard for this type of product and include keeping it away from children as well as keeping the product away from your eyes. It does state that should this occur rinse your eyes thoroughly immediately. Other warnings on the back of the bottle about this product include washing your hands after use (I have to admit I do not do this) and also no pouring the liquid directly onto your clothes, but to pour it straight into the machine draw. All of the warnings and advise are clearly written on the back of the bottle in dark blue lettering and are also backed up with small diagrams.
Overall I would definitely recommend this product, it smells lovely whilst your washing is drying and the fragrance also stays on the clothes for a long time afterwards, I find that when I get my clothes out to wear I can still smell the subtle smell of Strawberry (the Lily is the less dominate fragrance) It leaves my clothes feeling soft to wear and smelling fresh. Not only is it of an excellent quality, it is economical and long lasting and well worth the money, especially when on offer. I would certainly buy this product again in the future and recommend it to anyone.
I love trying out new fabric conditioners, and I first ordered the Comfort Strawberry & Lily Kiss variety several months ago when I made an online order from ASDA. Unfortunately they had sold out so I was sent an alternative. About three or four weeks ago I went to ASDA and although I had plenty of other fabric conditioners in the cupboard, this was on special offer at just £1, so I couldn't resist picking one up.
The fabric conditioner comes in a wonderfully girly bottle, and I have to admit that the bright pink colouring and flowers it is adorned with did influence my purchase somewhat!
To use, you simply add a capful of the liquid to the drawer of your washing machine. There are instructions and diagrams on the back of the bottle advising how much conditioner you should use depending on how large a load of washing you're putting in. It also states that you can use this when hand washing, although admittedly I left home quite young and went some time without being able to afford a washing machine, so these days I hate hand washing and avoid it like the plague, meaning I've never tried the product this way!
The liquid is concentrated, therefore reasonably thick, and is a soft baby colour. As soon as you pour this into the drawer the smell hits you. I absolutely love the smell, it's very sweet and feminine, and to me smells a bit like strawberry icing. If you unscrew the cap and have a sniff I do think you can smell a hint of the lily, but the predominant fragrance is definitely the strawberry.
When I take my clothes out of the washing machine, I can immediately smell this on my clothes. Of all the fabric conditioners I've used, I think this has got to be one of the strongest fragrance wise. When I hang my clothes to dry indoors, I find that the scent of the conditioner fills the room - it's like getting a free air freshener!
I must admit this is a very feminine scent. Perhaps if you have someone in your family (I'm thinking teenage boys here!) who is quite fussy, they may not appreciate their clothes smelling so girly! My boyfriend recently got snowed in with me, and I washed his clothes in this, and although I do love the scent, I remember at the time thinking he smelled incredibly feminine!
As for conditioning clothes, I think it's quite hard to tell, but I do think that this has helped somewhat. As some of you know I've put on a bit of weight recently, meaning I've had to replace a lot of clothes, and with Christmas looming, I've been buying a lot of cheap brands that I wouldn't necessarily have expected to last a long time. I've found that the majority of my clothes are still in reasonable condition, and I haven't found any bobbling on cotton items, which is something that happened a while back when I stopped using fabric conditioner completely.
Each 750ml bottle of this gives 21 washes. Although I haven't sat and counted, I do feel that this is probably quite accurate.
I paid just £1 for my bottle when it was on special offer. The usual price is £2.18, which I don't think is too bad considering the number of washes per bottle.
Overall, I think this is probably my favourite of the Comfort fabric softeners I've used to date. If you're looking for a conditioner with a girly scent then this is a great one, and I'd recommend it.
I have to buy fabric conditioners for my washing due to my lovely other half always complains that his clothes are not soft enough when they are washed. I also have young children and like to keep their clothes looking new and feeling soft.
I always buy comfort conditioner due to the fragrances and after my clothes have been washed they always seem to hold that lovely smell for a long time.
This particular bottle is strawberry and lily kiss, I am a big fan of strawberry smelling products so this was sold to me immediately. I also love the smell of lilly's due to how powerful the aroma is. This comes in a very girly pink bottle. I love the shape of the new bottle due to it makes it easier to hold because of how the neck is thin and the bottle is much smaller because it is concentrated.
This is part of the exhilarations range from comfort which are made with certain fragrances that are supposed to help your mood and lift your spirits this is because it is supposed to work with your senses of smell and touch.
This is concentrated which is good in lots of ways the main one is that there is 50% less packaging to the regular comfort which is helping the environment and you are using less of the product but getting a more powerful fragrance and soft clothes so you and the planet win.
The washing instructions are easy to understand and being able to use the cap as a measuring device comes in handy when you are adding it to your draw in your machine. It states on the bottle that it will last upto 21 washes. I can not say that I have noticed how many washes this has been added to but will last me around 3 weeks and I do approximately 4 to 6 washes a week having a family of 5, so this is good value at £2 per bottle.
I must say I have really enjoyed getting into bed all week since using this because my sheets smell really nice and makes me really relaxed. They are soft still but they were soft before due to using comfort of other fragrances so it has proved that it holds the softness of my fabrics in.
I love it when I open the bottle to pour it into my wash because the aroma is overpowering and very sweet. I have noticed that clothes that have been hanging in my wardrobe over a week still smell fresh of this scent when I get them out. The strawberry and lilly smells compliment each other very well and even when using this with my washing powder doesn't seem to give an unpleasant smell. This is a recommended product by persil and surf which I do currently use persil.
I would recommend the exhilarations range to people and this one in particular is lovely for the women. It is good value for money and is widley available, I bought mine from my local asda who often have this range on a special deal. I think it is a very attractive product and one of the best fragrances that I have ever tried.
Being a bargain hunter I always look for the offers when out shopping in the hope I can save a bit on my shopping bill. Was chuffed when the fabric softeners were all on offer on my last shopping trip and the one I decided on trying was the Comfort Exhilarations strawberry and lily kiss and it sounded lovely.
The softener comes in a plastic bottle which is a nice bright pink colour. It is decorated with pink lilies and strawberries and the name of the product is on the front of the bottle and on the back is all the product information. The top of the bottle is a pink plastic lid which doubles up as the measuring cap.
~~USE AND RESULTS~~
The softener is very easy to use and one capful is to be added to the washing machine in the relevant place. If you don't have a full machine load then ¾ of the cap should be used and only half a cap for a hand wash.
When I opened the bottle the smell instantly hit me. It was light and fresh, the smell reminded me of strawberry milkshake with a very faint hint of flowers. I noticed how feminine the smell was but still used it for the whole households laundry. When the clothes had been washed and this softener used and I opened the machine ready for placing the clothes in the dryer I was easily able to smell this product. The clothes when dry smelled less of the scent but if you actually sniffed them then you could smell it. The softness was not as good as other brands of softener I have used in the past but it was acceptable.
When the clothes had been placed in the wardrobe I was not able to smell the softener when returning to them which for me was a shame as the initial smell was so nice and good.
The bottle size is 750ml and this claims to be able to do 21 washes and I do agree with this and I have still had some left after using it for the 21 washes. The softener is a concentrate so only a small amount is needed and this also allows Comfort to reduce the packaging used for the bottles as they are now all a smaller size.
The ingredients for the softener for those who may have allergies and need to know are:-
5-15% Cationic surfactants, <5% Perfume, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzisothiazolinone
The usual warning come on the back of this bottle and these include keeping this bottle out of reach of children, avoiding contact with eyes and rinsing hands after use.
The back of the bottle has a claim that this softener has been recommended by both Persil and Surf, I don't know how true this is as I have personally found better softeners out there.
~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~
I bought this when it was non offer at £1 per bottle, the usual price is nearer the £2 mark and I do think this is fairly high as the fragrance does not last. It is widely available in all supermarkets but unfortunately I have not yet seen this in my local Pound Shop.
I am not going to recommend this softener even though the initial smell is lovely as it does not last or stay on the washed and dried clothes. Give it a go if you can find it on offer to see if it works any better for you but it is definitely not worth the full price tag. I will be going back to my Lenor Summer Breeze in future.
A few weeks ago when I was reading Cosmo I found a voucher for these Comfort Exhilarations and so I gave it to my mom because shes always buying stuff like this for the kitchen cupboards. I thought she would only buy the blueberry scented conditioner because thats what the voucher was for but next time she went shopping she came home with one bottle of each fragrance but I have to admit I was quite looking forward to smelling this one. As soon as we had put the shopping away I decided to use this one and wash my bed sheets along with some clothes because I wanted to know whether this really smelt as good as it sounded.
This fabric conditioner comes in a vivid pink 750ml bottle with a screw off cap. The directions of how to use and how much to use are all on the bottle along with ingredients and an address to write to should you have any problems with this product. When it comes to using this I tend to pour the liquid into the cap and then into the washing machine draw but I know some people pour it straight onto the clothes - I doubt it matters how you do it to be honest. The bottle states that you only need to use one capfull of this in each wash and I have to agree because I reckon that is more than enough because the scent is so strong. In fact in some cases I think half a cap is enough so one bottle will last you for ages as you dont need to use to much each time.
The smell of this is absolutely gorgeous and definately the best out of the range in my opinion. I wasnt all that sure that strawberries and lillies would go together as one is a fruity scent and the other is floral but they do go extremely well together. The strawberry scent is a lot stronger than the lily but you do get a slight afterscent of lillies, now although this smell is very strong I would describe it as overpowering in the slightest just very sweet and fruity.
The best thing about the smell is how long it lasts on your clothes and whatever else your washing. Ive washed my clothes with other conditioners before and as soon as the clothes are dry the scent fades but this isnt the case with this product. The scent lasts until the next wash on clothes and Im a smoker so usually any scent on my clothes doesnt last very long. I always use this to wash my bed sheets and duvet and it helps me drift off to sleep for about a week before the scent starts to fade. This really is a great product and I highly recommend it to everyone.
A bottle of this will cost you around £3 from any supermarket but my mom tells me they are often on offer so it may be worth keeping an eye out for.
