Advantages: Smells lovely, really does make your clothes softer!

Disadvantages: None!

Now I must confess for many years I didn't see the point of fabric softener. Washing powder smelt nice so what was the point in buying a seperate conditioner? Well, let me tell you the reason. You use any fabric conditioner because:

'Fabric softeners work by coating the surface of the cloth fibers with a thin layer of chemicals; these chemicals have lubricant properties and are electrically conductive, thus making the fibers feel smoother and preventing buildup of static electricity. Other functions are improvements of iron glide during ironing, increased resistance to stains, and reduction of wrinkling'

So why use Comfort Tropical Burst fabric conditioner? Well, I would never have used it had not my mum given me some. This is because she found my laundry care sadly lacking. (I also sometimes wash towels with normal clothes. Apparently a cardinal sin in the world of washing clothes!) But now I have it I would not be with out it. So here are my reasons:

1) It has a lovely fruity smell which I find lasts for ages after washing your clothes. And I love jumping into bed with fresh changed sheets which smell like a lovely sunny day! I also use a little when I do the handwash cycle, when I wash my swim costume after swimming, and it totally clears out the chlorine smell!

2)It really does make your clothes softer. I didn't beleive that it really could make much of a difference but I am converted. My socks are now the softest in the world! (probably, I haven't actually compared them to every single sock, so there may be one or two out there which are softer. But not many)

3) It's concentrated. That means it's not too big and heavy for me to carry home, it's better for the environment and I can fit it in the cupboard under the sink. (may make no odds to you, but useful for me!)

4) The price: it's not too expensive. Let's be honest. I didn't beleive in it in the first place, so if it had been too expensive then I wouldn't have bothered buying it myself! A 750ml bottle lasts for 21 washes and is currently £1.51 in ASDA, or a 1.5ltr bottle is £2.92 and lasts 42 washes. However, these fabric conditioners are often on offer, such as 2 for £2 for the 750ml sizes

5) It makes my clothes dry quicker, and with less wrinkles. This means less ironing! Always a good thing!

So that is how I have been converted to a fabric conditioner user! I use this fabric conditioner with Surf Sunshine washing powder, because I think the light summery fragrances complement each other!

Summary: Comfort Tropical Burst, it converted me!
