Advantages: fragrence, softening ability

Disadvantages: none really, maybe a bit pricey?

Waking up to quite a nice day for a change this morning we decided to do a load of washing to benefit from a line dry rather than the tumble drier. As "Comfort Tropical Burst" was the fabric softner we used I thought Id share my thoughts on how it performed.

The plastic bottle is that same as pictured and according to the information provided will last for 21 washes, although its only a 750ml bottle the liquid is concentrated thus meaning you dont need to put a lot in your washing machine for it to do its magic.

Conveniently the bottles cap is designed in such a way that you can measure out how much softner is required just by filling it up, that way you dont have to guess or just bung any old amount in your washing machine.

Once the bottle is open you are met with a strong smell of fabric softner with a fruity tinge to it, I cant say its the most pleasant smell in the world, but being concentrated you would expect it to be strong. Adding to the washing machine is easy and a little while later your clothes are washed and ready to be dealt with.

Its upon removing from the washing machine that you notice a gentle aroma coming from your clothes, it isnt overpowering like it was before but just really freshens your clothes up. As expected the softner does indeed soften your fabrics and when dried they are left feeling soft, clean and have a lovely smell to them.

I wouldnt say it was a particularly feminine smell, so dont worry if you are a man using this product, its more of a orangey, flowery smell but not like perfume. It ultimately does exactly what you want to do and that is softens and refreshes your washing.

We have tried various other brands and varities over the years and dont really have a loyalty to any of them to be honest, but compared to the cheaper supermarket brands Comfort does deliver more for your money, costing round about £1.60 per bottle it is on the expensive side, but this is a classic example of 'getting what you pay for'.

I do recommed this product, it does work and it does its job well. Clothing does feel better when fabric softner has been added and I would definitely buy this again.

I would rate this 4/5 stars, far better than cheaper alternatives but still a little on the pricey side. Comfort Tropical Burst can be found in all the major supermarkets on the Laundry aisle and is often on offer.
