Comfort Pure Fabric Conditioner
Advantages: Leaves fabrics feeling soft and smelling clean & fresh, Widely available, Great product for parents
Disadvantages: None for me!
Before my son was born I didn't pay that much attention to the fabric conditioner I bought instead I tended to buy either the cheapest available or whichever brand happened to be on special offer when I did my grocery shopping. All that changed 11 weeks ago though when our new addition arrived and being concious of his newborn, sensitive skin I put some thought into what detergents and conditioners I should use when washing his clothes and have since switched to using Fairy non bio as a washing detergent and Comfort Pure conditioner.
It's sold as shown in the picture here, a white plastic bottle available in varying sizes and either in concentrated or standard form. My current bottle just so happens to be the small, 13 wash concentrate which I paid a little over a pound for a couple of weeks ago and looking at the bottle itself it's clear to see that the manufacturers had parents in mind with the product as there is an illustration of a baby on the front sticker along with the statement that this is hypo-allergenic and has been dermatologically tested. Dosage recommendations are clearly printed on the back sticker and the plastic cap acts as a measuring device so that you don't end up wasting any of the product.
Comfort Pure is milky in both colour and consistency and in concentrated form has a fresh, clean smell that transfers well to clothing, my son wears clean clothes every day and has a change of vest on a night time so there's always a lot of washing to be done and combined with Fairy detergent I find that his clothes always come out of the washing machine clean, feeling soft and smelling fresh. It has a non-offensive smell, isn't overly chemically or artificial and for me acts as a great accompaniment to the laundry detergent I use.
Comfort as a brand is widely known and I trust the claims that this has been tested for use and I do think that it is a very good product for any parent to use. If I need to make a load up for my washing machine I also add my clothes to my sons and find that mine also come out feeling soft and having a freshly cleaned smell, I find that it makes ironing a little better as the fabrics are well cared for and overall I've been very happy with the switch and will continue to buy and use Comfort Pure on a regular basis.
As mentioned at the start of this review I never used to be that fussy when it came down to what fabric conditioner I used in my washing but have to concede that this does do a good job and also gives the added reassurance that it's safe to use on clothing that comes into contact with a baby's skin. For me it's been a great buy and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Prices will vary depending on the size of the bottle you buy but tends to cost around the same as other fabric conditioners from both Comfort and Lenor and from me gets a firm 5 star rating. Thanks for reading my review.
