Advantages: Gentle, no irritation, nice subtle smell, softens and freshens clothes, stops damp smell

Disadvantages: Nothing

My new flat doesn't have a garden so I have to hang my clothes up to dry on an airer indoors. We do have a tumble dryer but I am not too keen on using it all the time as it uses so much electricity and some of my clothes advise not to tumble dry. When hanging up clothes to dry indoors I find there is always the risk that they won't smell as fresh when they are ready, as they can sometimes pick up a musty smell from hanging around damp for a while. This is a reason why a good, fresh smelling fabric conditioner is even more important to use in my wash at the moment. I also generally like to use fabric conditioner to keep my clothes feeling soft.

Comfort Pure is one which I picked up recently due to it being on offer in Tesco - that's the reason behind a lot of my purchases for household products as I am not the most brand loyal, but I do tend to go for Comfort if I ever see it reduced as I have always had good experiences with it. The Comfort Pure comes in a clear bottle containing white liquid, and it has a picture of a baby on the front. This indicates how gentle it is and that it doesn't cause irritation. This is important for me as I do have somewhat sensitive skin.

The bottle indicates how much to use and it can be measured out into the cap. You can put it into the drawer with our washing powder or gel, or you can tip it directly into the drum, but I prefer to do the former.

I find that Comfort Pure does help make my washing feel softer and stops my washing coming out feeling stiff, hard or crispy. I also find it makes my laundry less crumpled compared to not using any fabric conditioner. The clothes smell fresh when I have used this and I like the scent of it as it is by no means overpowering and it is not too artificial and chemically smelling. I don't partiularly want my laundry to be heavily scented or smell of fruit or anything, but I just want a fresh, clean "laundry" smell so this is perfect. The smell is like a baby powder or fresh linen type scent. This scent can clearly be detected when the laundry comes out of the machine and does linger on the clothes while they are drying. Sometimes my clothes have to stay on the drying rack for a day or two until they are completely dry and they do still smell fresh by the time they are ready, not at all musty or damp smelling, to my relief.

I have not suffered any reactions to my sensitive skin with using this. My clothes feel soft and don't itch or irritate at all.

I do like this Comfort Pure fabric conditioner and I will definitely get it again, hopefully on offer.

Summary: A good fabric conditioner if you want a gentle feel and scent
