Advantages: lovely floral scent
Disadvantages: does not last long
I am one of these odd bodds who finds ironing strangely theraputic. There is something satisfying about ironing all of those annoying little creases out of clothes and hanging up a flat, straight piece of clothing, whilst standing back to admire your work. Yes, I know I probably need medical assistance.
Moving on...I'm always looking for ways to save money and so I don't make many frivilous purchases on unnecessary products. However, when browsing the supermarket aisles one day, I was attracted to the sight of this Vaporesse product. I like the way the bottle is clear, with a pink top, which is eyecatching.
The second thing I looked at was the price. I'm not prepared to pay much money for a bottle of scented water. At the time this was on offer for £1 in Tescos. On average you can expect to pay between £1.09 - £1.20 for this product. I didn't think this price was too bad.
You don't really need much explanation on how to use this product as it's all very simple. Just pour it into your steam iron as you would water, topping up as required. The packaging is recycleable.
***My opinion?
This product has a lovely, floral smell. You can spray it onto clothes to smooth out the creases as you would water - there is no staining. In fact this enhances the smell on your clothes. After ironing, there is usually a nice smell on clothes, which you wouldn't get with ordinary steam.
In a nutshell, this is water with a mild and attractive fragrance which smells nice on clothes after ironing.
I would definitely recommend this product, however my tip is to look for a cheaper supermarket own brand first - these are just as effective and yet much cheaper. The one in Tescos is called 'Ironing water' and smells great.
Summary: Good product but better to buy cheaper supermarket own brands

- 10/06/09 I used to use this all the time but now I use a steam generator and the manual advises against using anything but tap water. |
