Advantages: Beautiful packaging, makes classy gift

I love scented candles, especially the American imports like Yankee Candles. So when I was given this candle as a gift from my birthday I was overjoyed. The packaging is simple and classy and the overall effect is of a high-end gift.

The unlit candle has a lovely, calming fragrance, including notes of camomile. This may sound a bit "old-lady", however this isn't the case and I think people of all ages would enjoy the scent. It isn't particularly feminine either, just very clean and cool.

The only thing I found a little disapointing was the scent when lit- I have had the candle lit on four nights for at least an hour at a time and the scent does tend to fade very quickly. Also, the wick smokes very easily which can overpower the relaxing scent of the candle itself.

Overall, the candle is a nice gift but if I was spending my own money I would spend it at Yankee Candles, where I have never been let down.

Summary: Not entirely worth the money...
