Looks good value but is not very effective (Daisy Original Washing Up Liquid)

Advantages: The fragrance is pleasant and it seems safe for sensitive skin

Disadvantages: You need so much of the product that it soon eliminates any cost-benefit of purchasing!

We've just purchased this product via Tesco's internet shopping service as the product we normally use was out of stock. I've used it for a few weeks and so far would have to say I do not recommend it.

I find I have to use far more of this product than similar washing up liquids just to get dishes clean. I'm not only referring to dishes that are normally tough to clean (eg casserole dishes, or baking trays where often food is stuck to the cookware) but just to normal plates and cutlery. I find I have to use a lot of the product to get products at all clean, and even when washing fairly clean cutlery or crockery I have to change the water and add more washing up liquid far more often than would normally be the case.

It looks like good value for money when you first see it (particularly as it's possible to buy in a larger bottle than some competing brands) but in my experience so much of the product is needed in order to get your dishes clean that any cost-effectiveness is soon eliminated.

On the positive side, the fragrance is pleasant and it doesn't irritate my skin (despite the fact that I have quite sensitive skin).

Overall I would recommend Tesco own-brand washing-up liquid as a good-value alternative to this product.

Summary: Try Tesco own-brand washing up liquids instead - better value, more effective!
