I am not particularly brand loyal when it comes to washing powders and will tend to just opt for whatever is on offer at the time. Whilst shopping in my local Iceland a few weeks back I noticed that the Daz Summer Flower Power was on offer at just £3.00 (1496g), its usual price being £5.00. I thought I could do with an injection of Summer considering I was suffering from the January blues and popped it into my trolley.
Dooyoo's picture above is of the bottled liquid detergent, mine is the powdered biological version in a box. The packaging had quickly caught my eye during my shop and certainly stood out to me amonst all the other similar products. The box itself is bright red in colour and there are an array of sparkling flowers at the bottom. The brand logo is prominently displayed in the centre along with the product name, there is a large bright sun in the background. Daz claim there are 22 loads per box.
General information is given on the back and sides including ingredients, warnings and dosage guide, all of which should be read thoroughly before using.
The powder itself is bright white in colour with quite a few blue bits in there too, to be honest it looks like most other branded washing powders. Daz do not provide a dosage dispenser and I can imagine some may find it difficult to measure the correct amount without one, thankfully I have one from a different company. The box opens up nice and wide which means I can easily get a good scoop of powder.
I was expecting a floral fragrance but instead was met with a rather generic clean and fresh smell which was strong but still quite nice. I use a fabric conditioner in every wash and find that these over power most powders. For this review I did a load of washing without an additional fabric conditioner but found I could not notice the "Summer Flower Power" scent much on the clothes after the wash, although they were clean and fresh smelling.
Daz Summer Flower Power does clean my clothes well even on low temperatures. It did struggle slightly on some stained items and I found I did need an additional stain remover and an extra wash to remove them, however I have found this with other washing powders I have used in the past. I was quite impressed to discover that my white bath towels came out very bright and white.
Overall I was quite pleased with the results achieved from using Daz Summer Flower Power, it cleaned my clothes well but lacked the "Summer Flower Power" fragrance it promised. I feel the full RRP is a little expensive really but I would certainly buy it again if I saw it at the £3 mark again.
It seems slightly absurd to be writing about a washing detergent with the name "Summer Flower Power" when it's lashing it down outside but this does happen to be the bottle we are nearing the end of at the moment.
The bottle is bright yellow and cheerful in colour and promises 20 washes with the top of the bottle cap being the measuring tool. The bottle says "Our cleaning never smelled soooo good!" and I have to say the bottle takes up a minimal amount of space in our utility room.
The liquid detergent is concentrated and bright yellow in colour. It is easy to measure a capful and this goes in to the drawer rather than in the drum.
I have found this to clean all our clothes very well, so no complaints there. To me it smells soapy and well, like soap powder rather than like flowers so nothing special there. Whilst I am happy with the cleaning power, I do think there is a flaw in the design because after a few uses the bottle is left in a right state, due to the lid being the bit you measure out the liquid in then screw back on the top of the bottle. The product has oozed out all over the top of the bottle and this is not a good thing for me. I don't have time to clean the bottle and am usually rushing when I throw in the laundry with a two year old clinging to my leg and shouting at me... you get the picture.
I bought this in both the yellow and the pink bottle and used the pink first. I have to say that I prefer the pink version from the point of view of fragrance and as for the bottle design, it's not great. The product is economical though and you only use a small amount so it does prove good value for money.
I bought this product when it was on offer for a couple of pounds. I do think it's worth buying for the sheer fact that it gets challenging clothes (toddler, baby) clean.
I can recommend the product but really don't rate the packaging! The pouring spout helps a bit but the screw top makes a mess every time. I would not rush to repurchase this but don't think the product's bad at all.
Now I am not a loyal person where brands and washing detergent is concerned. I usually have a look at the offers on at the moment and then decide. The Daz Summer flower power was on offer in Wilkinsons for £2 for a 20 wash bottle so I thought I would give it ago. Now I always smell the product first as that's a big plus sign for me. I like fresh fragrances rather than heavey ones and this one didn't disappoint.
Well you cant miss this bottle on the shelf. Its a large yellow bottle with a white top. Now with most detergents the top is also used to measure the liquid. The words DAZ in large blue letters appear on the product surrounded by flowers. The bottle is for 20 washes and is 880ml.
The instructions for using this are simple, 1 cap is for 1 wash ir you are in a soft water area. I would only use half if a small wash or for my woollens which are usually just a couple of items at a time. The liquid is very thick and as soon as the top is off you get a heavy flower smell with a hint of citrus.
Its best usually to go via the guidelines as depending where you are the water does change.
3-6 KG WASHING MACHINE
Lighty soiled Medium soiled Heavily soiled
Soft water 1 full cap (44ml) 1 full cap (44ml) 1 ½ caps (66ml)
Medium wate 1 full cap (44ml 1 full cap (44ml) 1 ½ caps (66ml)

Now I usually wash on a low heat about 30 and the results which this item are the same whichever temperatures its on.
All the items that have been washed have come out smelling fresh and clean, this can last for a couple of days after being tumbled dried.
I would recommend anyone to try this, its on offer at the moment for £2 at Tesco.
Stockists all major supermarkets .
~*~* Intro ~*~*
After a brief dalliance with laundry products from the cheaper end of the scale I have shuffled back to the better known brands. At the weekend I spotted Daz Summer Flower Power concentrated liquid wash on offer in Morrisons for £3.00 for a 27 wash bottle (December 2012). I have a massive 9kg washing machine so I use double the recommended amount, 2 capfuls rather than 1, so I expect to get roughly 14 washes out of the bottle.
~*~* In Use ~*~*
The liquid is a rich yellow colour, the same colour as the centre of a cream egg, and a nice thick consistency. The liquid smells sweet, soapy and floral. I measure 2 capfuls into the draw of my washing machine and set off a 40 degree wash, I usually do everyday laundry on 40 degrees and towels, bedding and underwear on 60 degrees.
I find I get excellent results from the Daz Summer Flower Power, the laundry smells really fresh and fills the house with a lovely clean floral aroma while it is drying on clothes horses around the house. The laundry dries up a bit crisp as I have not been using conditioner but it still smells of the detergent and irons quite easily. The aroma of the detergent clings to my laundry for a good week or so after washing.
The Daz Flower Power removes the majority of food stains and general day to day dirt on the first wash and I am very happy with the results. It will be a while before I wander back to the cheap end of the detergent scale.
~*~* Conclusion ~*~*
The bottle is well shaped for pouring and contains all the essential information such as contact details for P&G, safety warnings and usage instructions. The bright yellow of the packaging is very eye catching on the shelf and it is great that the lid can be used as a dosing measure. I find the guide of 27 washes a bit misleading as I have a larger sized machine, wash for wash it comes in at a little over 20 pence a wash.
I find that the detergent cleans really well and I really enjoy the scent and overall I am very happy with my choice but loses a star as at full price I think it is a bit expensive.
~*~* Comparison to previous detergents used ~*~*

==Daz Summer Flower Power concentrated laundry liquid==
As Daz is the more preferred detergent for me as it is cheaper than brands such as Persil or Ariel & it cleans just as well (if not better) too. So when a while back I saw the Daz liquid range for £2 in ASDA, I just had to have it! I had a good sniff in the store but found that they only had my preferred fragrance Mandarin & Lime splash, in the 27 wash pack in which was not on offer. I then chose Summer Flower Power, which smelt nice of Flowers.
Daz liquid recently changed to a concentrated liquid which means less is needed for each wash. Only 1 capful is needed for 1 wash making it an equivalent to Persil small & mighty. It is available in a 20 wash pack & a 27 wash pack. The 20 wash is 918ml & the 27 wash is 1.2ltr. They are available in 3 fragrances: Mandarin & Lime Splash, Summer Flower Power & Violet Blossom Blast. All 3 fragrances smell divine & are great for when using fabric conditioner too!
My Daz liquid (Summer Flower Power) comes in a bright yellow bottle which holds 918ml of pearly orange liquid. The slogan: Our cleaning never smelled soooo good! is listed in green along with the Daz logo which is surounded by a vast array of flowers. A little box with 1 cap, 1 wash listed in it. The side bottle has a clear strip which shows the clear liquid being run down the side of the bottle. This is handy because your then able to see how much you have left & even if you were supisticous about how much you use this will be good for you! The back of the bottle has the other varieties available along with the all important dosing instructions.
Daz liquid is good for colours because it dosent have a single bleach ingredient in it unlike powder, so sometimes people recommend powder for the best whites as if you use liquid your whites can look off white. It's also good for pre-treating stains as you can pour neat liquid onto the stain, rub it in & wash!
Normal & Light soil Dosing:
Soft & Meduim water: 1 full cap (44ml)
Hard Water: 1 1/2 caps (66ml)
Heavy Soil (all water hardnesses): 1 1/2 caps (66ml)
7kg+ loads: 1 1/2 caps (66ml)
Handwash (10ltr of water): 1 cap (44ml)
You can even use this in a dosing ball (not supplied) but for one visit the Daz website (www.dazwhite.co.uk). I have used a dosing ball a few times as an alternative to using it in the drawer.
I put a wash load on the next day after purchasing using this liquid & it performed quite well to be honest. I put a load of coloureds on & used 1 capful of Daz liquid in the dosing ball in the drum. As soon as I opened the bottle, the most gorgeous smell of summer flowers hit me. It was quite delicate but powerful. I was hoping the smell would stay on the clothes after washing them (especially the smaller items!)
It was soon time for the machine to stop filling & start tumbling. It soon did, but even 10 minutes into the wash, no foam appeared at all! I was not happy, but most liquids are like this, some do make some foam but as I normally use powders i'm used to foam appearing so it was quite a shock to me!
Soon the wash came to the end & I took the clothes out of the washer & I instantly detected a smell of summer flowers on the smaller items such as socks & underwear (as there were a LOT of those let me assure you!) & it instantly blended well with the fresh scent of the smell of Lenor Summer Breeze.
I have used this for handwashing too & it is great because it dissolves quickly & only needs 1 rinse to get out unlike powder which needs at least 2! I have used it for handwashing normal clothes, delicates & even shoes & it performs well on these!
Ever since I have brought this I have used the whole bottle for washing everything! I had used it for even washing shoes & it left them smelling fresh & looking clean! It's a bit like P&G's answer to Persil or Surf small & mighty! With the 3 fragrances available, different sizes & lots of functions, this is one laundry detergent worth buying!
(: Thanks for reading! :)
I swapped my washing powder for Gels 2 years ago mainly due to lack of storage. Over that time I have tried many different brands and scents.Wearing a uniform at work I always wondered why everyone elses clothes smelt so fresh and clean when mine just smelt normal. I resulted o adding a cap and a half of gel to my wash. Still it made no difference. That was until I tried Daz. Finally my clothes smelt fresh as a daisy with the recommended one cap.
I bought this 880ml bottle on special offer at £3. It's usually £5-6.What I find strange about buying Gels is that the labels never tell you what it is acctually designed for. The only clue on the front was where it says 20 washes. After futher inspection on the back in teeny tiny writing it does say laundry liquid with biological action. Having a young child I like to know if what i'm buying is bio or non-bio, but this packaging is so hard to see, with its tiny writing.
Then came my first wash. I opened the lid and gave it a smell. It wasn't very exciting. The smell is very indescript.
It smells a bit of flowers, but mainly a generic fresh flower smell. I was expecting a delicious sweet flowery smell.
Anyway Ihad bought two bottles so I would have to grin and bare it.I went ahead and poured the liquid into the lid, and poured it into the machine drawer. The temperature was set to 40. Now too sit back and wait.
At the end of the cycle I remove my clothes to be greeted by a lovely fresh flowery smell.I hung it on my drier and went out. When I came home I could smell it as I walked through the door. Never had this happened before. And when Iwentto work I could still smell it.
I am very impressed with how strong the smell is, that I can't seem to get from any other gel.My clothes also feel cleaner aswell. This will now become my favourite laundry gel. I just hope next time it will be on sale again!
Having always been a soap powder user, I started to find thet sometimes the laundry would come out of the machine with a bit of powder residue cling to it when I was washing at lower temperatures so I decided to try using liquids for a change.
I recently saw DAZ Summer Flower Power in Morrisons on buy one get one free, the price was £3.49 for the two bottles each containing 880ml of liquid which gives 20 standard washes per bottle, for larger load washing machines the recommended dose will give you 15 washes.
The bottle is made of sturdy plastic a bright orange colour with orange and white flowers, the srew top lid also acts as the dosing cup.
The plastic bottle has a clear strip down one side allowing you to see at a glance how much liquid is left.
------Using the liquid-------
The recommeded does is 1 cap for standard machines and 1 and a half caps for the larger loaders, I have to say that I have a large 7.5kg machine and use just one cap most of the time and the liquid is just as effective, I only use more when it is very heavily soiled items I am washing.
The liquid is quite thick and pours easily, the cap is designed so that any liquid clinging to the sides will drip back into the bottle when you replace the cap so the bottle does not get drips of sticky liquid all down the sides.
You can also get a free dosing ball which you put directly in the drum of your machine from the company website which is on the back of the bottle.
The scent is a light fresh floral fragrance which is not overpowering and sickly instead gives your washing a lovely fresh smell which lasts really well after the clothes are dried.
I have found the detergent to be very effective at cleaning and removing stains on most everyday wash loads, occasionally I have to put something in for another wash if it has grass stains or when my little boy has been painting and got it on his clothes, but for the most part everything comes out clean and stain free.
The packaging states that the product is effective at wash temperatures from as low as 20 degrees, I can't vouch for that personally, the lowest I use is 30 degrees and find it effective.
A very good laundry detergent that leaves your clothes smelling clean and fresh.
I have not had any issues with soap residue left on the washing and would recommend it to my friends.
I bought two of these bottles of Daz concentrated washing liquid from Morrisons supermarket as they are on offer at the moment for buy two for two pounds, which is a good time to stock up.
The bottles are a bright yellow plastic and have a white screw off top which you can pour the right amount of liquid into for one wash.
The bottles are 20 washes and you get 880ml of orange washing liquid which is a concentrated liquid.
One cap full is one wash and this can be used on low temeratures as well as high temperatures.
The scent is summer flower power and it is very strong if you put your nose over the top of the bottle but as you dilute this and use it to wash the clothes in, when your wash comes out the clothes smell nice and fresh and flowery but not too overpowering like it is in the bottle.
I like the concentrate as it doesn't clog up the dispencing drawer of the washing machine, it's easy to pour and you get the right amount of liquid for each wash.
It is good for using with hard or soft water so can be used in any part of the country. As for performance this is good stuff, I think Daz liquid is just as good as other concentrates but it usually is a little cheaper to buy than the other newer well known brand names.
It can be used on temperatures as low as 20 degrees and up to 95 degrees and is good on cottons, and other fabric's but not to be used on wollens or silk.
This has to be kept out of reach of children as the orange colour of it may tempt little ones to drink it and it hasn't a child proof lid so I'd keep it out of reach of little hands.
It can also irritate if you have sensative skin so I wouldn't be tempted to use it for hand washing either it is for the machine use only.
Washing does come out clean and smelling nice after use so I'm happy to recommend it to you for value and performance.
Daz is a washing product that has been around for a very long time and so when I saw this product in a liquid form I decided it would be one I would like to try and see if it was as good as the powered one, it looked a nice product on the shelf and so it landed in the trolley because I like the power and so trying this one would be a good idea.
The bottle is a bright yellow colour, it had a top that is easy to open and there is a nozzle at the top of the bottle to pour the liquid into the machine, it is easy to pour from the bottle because the nozzle is quite wide. The bottle is easy to grip and is a strong plastic and not one that bends while pouring the liquid from the bottle when the last bit of liquid is being used.
The liquid is an orange colour it has a really nice smell to it and it smells of fresh oranges, the liquid has a smooth texture and looks glossy and smooth looking. The liquid also has a tiny amount of lime fragrance but I cannot smell it so much as the orange. I did not think I would like an orange smell but it is a nice one for a liquid form of washing detergent.
This is a concentrated liquid and can wash up to 20 average washing loads, just one capful is needed for clothes that are not heavily soiled and just one and a half capfuls for any clothing that is quite dirty or heavily soiled. Because it is concentrated not a lot is needed and so a little goes a long way. It is a liquid that can wash clothes at a lower temperature as low as 20% it says on the back of the bottle. I have not washed any clothing on this low temperature but I have at a temperature of just 30% and it has cleaned and washed my clothing to a high standard and one that I am happy with when the clothes have been washed. I removes any stains from my grandchildren's clothing and is fine for their sensitive skin.
I really like this liquid, I think it is good value for money and for the price of just around £4 for a 918ml bottle and the amount of washes it can wash, I think it is worth it. I have found it does clean clothes very well and removes stains, it also has a lasting smell on the clothes for a long time and one that has a smell which is suitable for both a man and woman.
My bed sheets smell really nice after being washed with this liquid and my towels smell fresh too, it is one that I would buy again as I really like it and the bottle is not too bulky considering the amount of liquid in the bottle.
I rate it 5 stars.
Review of Daz Summer Flower Power Concentrated Laundry Liquid.
**The Product, Packaging, Scent and Results**
Daz Summer Flower Power laundry liquid is a concentrated biological formula designed to provided cleaning power and fragrance in one package. The product is also available in a powder format, for those who prefer washing powders to liquids.
The liquid is presented in a recyclable plastic bottle containing 918ml of liquid, this is enough for an impressive 20 washes. The bottle is very eye-catching being a bright yellow colour, the labelling is adorned with images of daisies and other flowers.
All instructions for use, warnings and company information can be found on the rear of the bottle. The white cap acts as the measuring device and Daz advise one capful per wash-load. The liquid can either been poured directly into the detergent drawer of the washing machine or placed into a 'Daz' dosing device and placed in the drum. A free dosing device can be obtained from the company website or from one of the myriad freebie sites around.
The product has a really fresh, zingy fragrance, as one would expect it is predominantly a floral type scent. The biological washing liquid is a rich orangey-yellow colour and it is a fairly thick consistency. Daz liquid works well at all temperatures, high or low. I tend to wash mainly at low temperatures and have been very satisfied with the results from Daz, right across the range of fabrics and colours that I wash. Even though we live in a very hard water region of the UK, I find the one capful dose is adequate to obtain good results from the product.
Admittedly, we are a household of retired adults, so I do not have food stained toddlers clothing or soiled work clothing to deal with nowadays. I have found the product is excellent at removing stains on tea towels, something I battle with regularly as Mr Brittle will grab the tea towel to mop up all and sundry spills!
The laundry liquid certainly does leave a lingering fragrance on the clothes, which seems to last very well. The fragrance is not quite a distinct if the washing is tumble dried as it seems to evaporate rather in the dryer.
I do not use a fabric softener at all and I have found that although this is not sold as a 2 in 1 type washing liquid, it does have a mild softening effect on the laundry.
**Why I Bought It and Cost**
I bought this on the recommendation of my daughter. She and one of her children, suffer with very sensitive skins and normally have to use fairly basic, unscented products, but following a trial of a free sample of this liquid from Daz, she was so impressed that she bought the full size and suggested I try it too. I suffer with occasional flare ups of contact dermatitis so also have to be cautious with laundry products. I am happy to report that I have had no problems whatsoever when using this product.
I have to admit that I have absolutely no loyalty to any one brand of laundry product, as long as it cleans my laundry and does not irritate my skin, I don't care much what it is! That said, Daz Mandarin and Lime Splash, the other variant in this range, is my current favourite. Being a bit of a cheap skate, this is probably because there have been several supermarket promotional offers on the products recently!
When I bought mine back in January Daz laundry liquids were on a special offer in Asda supermarkets for just £2, so I grabbed up on half a dozen bottles. This special offer is now finished but it is certainly worth shopping around as prices can vary.
At the point of writing this review, Sainsburys are stocking it at £3.99 and Tesco at £4.07. (These are the prices that are quoted on www.mysupermarket.com )
As with any laundry product, Daz should be kept out of reach of children, it should be kept away from the eyes, hands should be rinsed and dried after contact, it should not be ingested and people with sensitive skin should avoid prolonged contact. In addition, this particular product is unsuitable for silk materials, should not be used for programmes requiring a pre-wash and flame retardant fabrics should not be soaked in the product or washed at temperature higher than 50 degrees.
More information about Daz, their products and the company in general can be found on the Daz website:-
It is an informative site with laundry tips, a link for a free dosing ball or powder scoop and clips of the company's 'Cleaner Close' advertising campaign.
**My Thoughts and Conclusion**
Daz Summer Flower Power is a good quality laundry liquid. It does all I expect from a washing product and more besides. The cleaning power is excellent and the product lives up to expectation regarding the scent and freshness left in the fabrics. The floral scent is very pleasant although in all honesty, I do prefer the Lime version of the product.
As mentioned in this review, the product is widely available and the prices can vary, special offers come and go, so it is definitely worth shopping around.
To conclude I would recommend this product to others, it really does do as it promises!
Thank you for reading.

N.B. My reviews may be found on other sites, under the same user name.
I bought this detergent when it was on special offer some time ago and since I had not tried it before I thought I would give it a go to see if I liked it or not and I also bought the other fragrance in this range and I have only just recently started to use this one and I bought it for only £2 at the time and I thought it was an amazing price for a branded detergent.
It comes in a thick sturdy bright yellow plastic bottle, it has a screw off top and it has a nozzle to pour the liquid into the machine compartment. The nozzle is really good size and so it does means that I do not spill any of the liquid and then there is no waste with this one, which is very good because I have tended to waste some detergents when I have poured them into my machine with some other brands when my hand has slipped etc but this one I have no problems pouring at all.
The liquid is a very nice texture, it is extremely soft and smooth and yellow in colour. It has a beautiful fragrance and it has a kind of floral smell with a hint of Oranges in my opinion but with a lot of perfume. It smells gorgeous and it is really pleasant and is very apparent the minute the top is removed and it is being poured into the machine.
It is a concentrated liquid and so very little is needed to place into the machine to wash the fabrics. It is designed to wash up to 20 normal wash loads and all that is needed is to use 1 capful for normal soiled fabrics and 1 and a half capfuls for more heavier soiled fabrics. When I first tried this one and I had taken my fabrics from my machine I could definitely smell the fragrance immediately and it was just the amount of smell I expect from my detergent.
The size of the bottle is quite slim line, it is easy to grip and to then pour the liquid from the bottle into the machine and I find I do not drop it as I tend to do with some other products, especially when they are full but this one is a nice handy size to hold and it fits very well inside my laundry cupboard and take up very little space compared to some larger bottles. I also has a thin transparant strip at one side of the bottle to let you know the liquid is running low and you need to buy some more liquid and it is a really nice added feature on this bottle in my opinion.
The size of the bottle is 918ml and so a very good amount of liquid for the bargain price that I paid for it and I think at the usual price it is still a good value for money detergent and a very good quality liquid.
My clothes have a long lasting smell with this one and used with a fabric conditioner in every wash I find together the combination is just right with this liquid and I am very pleased with the results that it gives for my fabrics. It removes tougher stains too and my grandson has lots of food stains on his clothes after eating his little treats and the stains have been removed perfectly with this liquid and it has not irritated his skin and I find it has not irritated my skin and I have sensitive skin in the same way as my grandson's delicate skin and this one has caused no problems at all for us both and also my hubby's skin. It has cleaned my hubby's work clothing perfectly and they are quite dirty sometimes and it has cleaned them just nicely and the way I expect from a detergent.
It can be used for lower temperatures from only 20% up to 95% and depending on how heavily soiled the fabrics are it can remove stains from lower temperatures too and I have used it on a 30% setting and I have found my fabrics are very easily cleaned just perfectly on this lower setting as I usually only wash my fabrics on a lower setting as I find I do not have so many heavily soiled ones and they have been cleaned perfectly in just the way I expect them to be cleaned with this liquid.
It is one I highly recommend to others to give it a go as I think it is an amazing liquid and one I will certainly buy again in the future as I am very pleased with the results that it gives for my fabrics and it is an amazingly good quality one too.
I give it 5 stars.

Thank you for reading my review.
Being a mother of a 2 year old may be classed as the devils work, at least the washing is anyway!
I go through so much of the stuff whenever I see any on offer I pick them up and store tham away meaning I never pay full price for washing up.
I first noticed this particular *Daz Summer Flower Power Liquid* in Tesco and decided to pick up a bottle as it was only £1.99 down form £3.99.
It comes in 2 fragrances, the one pictured and a lime one but I much prefer this one if I'm honest. It's a bright yellow bottle with *Daz* displayed in bold letter across the front. There are also some pretty looking flowers as well. We're told that this bottle will provide 20 washes or 1 litre.
On removing the cap you're greeted with a strong floral scent, really lovely although I am partial to smelling the wet washing it's one of those little pleasures. I use a capful per washing and just put it straight into the tray although have to say you can't use this product for wool or silk so best avoiding if you're looking for just the 1 option.
I had never used a gel or liquid before for washing but I have to say I do prefer it now instead of powder. There is never any residue left just a gorgeoous smell that lasts and is enhanced by line drying the washing outside. It does make the clothes quite soft as well on the one time I forgot to pop some softener in beside it they came out just as they would if I had had some in.
All round a great product, especially if you can get it on offer and I'll be buying it again when I see it cheaply.
In our house we tend to use either Ariel or Bold and our preference is for a gel based product. However, on a whim and prompted by a particularly impressive price reduction, we have tried this liquid washing detergent in its bright yellow attractive bottle.
The size we have is 918ml, which is supposedly enough to do 20 washes at a capful per wash. Looking at the container, I think I probably assumed it was a litre bottle and the fact that it is only 918ml makes me think that this may be one of the reasons why it seemed cheap in comparison to Ariel and Bold the day we bought it; although I remember using Daz powder when I was a student and it has traditionally occupied a place at the cheaper end of the branded detergent sector.
We have been reasonably impressed with the washing performance of this liquid, although it has to be said that a normal load of washing doesn't present too much in the way of a washing challenge for any detergent. We just don't get down and get dirty quite as often as we once did! The product is termed a laundry liquid with biological action and the bottle carries the usual detail and instruction on its use. Those who like to use one product and one product only for their wash should note that this product should not be used on wool or silk garments.
What I do like about the product is the beautiful smell and it does seem to last well after the wash as well as during the wash. The manufacturers' boast that "Our cleaning never smelled so good!"
The bottle is now half empty and we will crack on and finish it - even though Summer Flower Power is hard to achieve in the depths of winter. At this stage it is doubtful whether it will leap-frog Ariel and Bold as one of our preferred choices. That said, it would be hard to mark it down on much and it represents especially good value when on offer.
When shopping for washing detergent I tend to go towards the branded ones on offer, rather than sticking to one particular brand, with me finding that no one brand offers better cleaning than the other.
After perusing the washing detergent section for any bargains to be had, I found the product I will now review for you at a real price reduction!
The product in question is - "Daz - summer flower power liquid detergent".
As I said the first reason for throwing this in my trolley is the fact this was on offer for £3.00, which for a 27 (approx) wash bottle is fantastic value!
The bottle itself is a large squarish bottle, with a small white screw lid, with the lid doubling up as the dosing cup too!
There is all the relevant information on the bottle, brand name, product name, scent and dosing information, with here being much more detailed information on the back, along with a full ingredients list.
To use you simply fill the cap to the relevant line, half full for slightly soiled and nearly to the top for heavily soiled, then pour into the dosing draw.
The detergent is a runny yellow liquid that has a lovely fresh floral scent to it.
I filled my washing machine up and started pouring the detergent from the bottle into the dosing cap, I tend to be quite heavy handed and usually in a rush, so I found I poured it a bit quick, though luckily due to the design of the bottle itself I found it difficult to spill any, with there being an applicator channel within the bottle end.
I poured the ¾ full cap into the machine and re-attached the lid to the bottle, again specially designed so that any liquid left in the lid (and there always is as the viscous liquid tends to cling in the bottom of the cap!), runs back into the bottle for future use through a specially designed channel running around the lid of the bottle. This obviously saves product for use later, but stops the dosing cap and top of the bottle relatively clean and gunk free, though not completely!
After my washing has finished (I always wash at 40 degrees, for 1 hour, dirty kids!), I pull my washing out to find it lovely clean and smelling beautifully, a thing that again stays even when the washing is dry!
This liquid I have found tackles most stains, but does really struggle with grease marks, which unfortunately is one of the most common stains on my clothing, cooking is not my strong point!
The detergent doesn't tend to remove the grease with the first wash, but does after two or three washes.
I actually quite liked this detergent, not only is it reliable (even with grease stains, eventually!), it is super concentrated meaning it takes up less room in the cupboard!
Due to the nature of the gel it also reduces down the need to keep washing out the draw, as you know with powder it will eventually clog up and start to go mildewy, this gel goes straight in and washes entirely out again, leaving behind very little residue to need to clean, which is fantastic, I feel I do more than enough cleaning!
Quantity wise, the bottle states that you should get approximately 27 washes from this bottle, though I have found you can eek this out a little by using just less than the recommended dose, this in no way impedes the cleaning ability and does get a bit more for your money, as at full price these are available for around the £5.00 mark.

This really is a lovely detergent that cleans almost everything first time, leaves a beautiful scent on the clothes when wet and dried, and for the price I paid, is fantastic value, recommended!
Thanks for reading x
I bought the Daz summer flower power concentrated washing liquid whilst it was on offer at half price, meaning it was £1.99 instead of the usual cost of £3.99.
I had never tried liquid clothes wash before but liked the sound of it and so after seeing all the adverts indicating a fabulous summer smell, I succumbed.
The liquid comes in a bright yellow plastic bottle with a white top (bright green if mandarin and lime smell). On the side is a clear strip which means you can see how much is left - handy.
For your money you apparently get 20 concentrated washes. This is indicated by using a cap measure for each wash. If you read on the back of the bottle though, this does depend on whether you have soft or hard water so could be less washes. However it only means going up by another half a cap so not to much of a difference.
On the back gives you all the standard information for washing liquid, regarding safety and where to go if not satisfied etcetera. What I did find useful was that it indicated you can wash your clothes from a mere 20 degrees right up to 95 degrees, all giving a clean wash. I have tried the liquid with varying heat washes. My washer does not go as low as 20 degrees but did get good results with others.
30 degrees - most of my general clothes are on this and all come out clean and fresh.
40 degrees - tends to be muddy dog walking jeans and it does clear all the mud out! Only occasionally have to put them through at 60 if particularly dirty.
60 degrees - towels etc, always have come out soft and clean
95 degrees - work clothes this has removed blood and other unmentionable things (I'm a nurse).
In general I am very happy with the washing capabilities of the product and the smell is lovely, very fresh and not to overpowering. Even my chap is not put off by the smell as although summery it is not to girly. The liquid itself is again bright yellow and is quite thick when you pour it out. My only downside to the product is the fact that it does get quite messy when you pour it into the lid. It has that old style tomato ketchup kind of effect around the top if not cleaned each time.
Would I buy it again? Yes I like the cleaning power and smell but if on offer it would be even better!
