Advantages: It smells good and washes well

Disadvantages: None

Daz with a difference, Daz Mandarin and Lime Splash.
You do get some good offers and promotions on laundry products and Wilkinson's had this Daz on special offer, two 680g boxes for £2.80, at that price it was to much to resist.
The combination of mandarin and lime sounded fine and I always seem to like those fresh citrus smells.

The packaging is more or less what you would expect, the bright red Daz box with a slice of lime and an orange segment floating along the bottom. The fruit is bursting with juice which looks fresh and appealing.
The slogan however is not the most sophisticated I have ever come across, `The Zesty Splosh that freshens your wash!`
Wow, that one took some thinking up !

The Daz powder is fairly soft and fine and it does have a strong citrus smell although I cannot especially pick out either lime or mandarin.
But give the powder its due it smells very pleasant.

My favourite washes are my white washes, I love to pile all my whites in and lob in a healthy helping of washing powder and watch it all go around ( Sad isn't it)
Daz have a panel on the box which tells you the amount of powder that they recommend that you use and they take into account whether you live in a hard or soft water area.
One interesting bit states that if you have any favourite clothes that you would like to smell more so than others then you can add a touch more powder.

The Daz box has carries all of the usual instructions, you can use this powder for hand washing, this is not a suitable powder for washing wools or silk, check your fabrics for colour fastness and the powder has an inbuilt water softener.
Of course there are also the warnings, do not ingest, keep away from children, rinse you hands well after you have hand washed and take care if you have sensitive skin.

The box has an easy pour metal lip so the powder is dispensed with ease. The Daz produces minimal lather as it washes but you are able to smell the wash in progress.
My whites are not heavily soiled and when the load had finished the end result was good if not excellent.
The laundry smelled good, I am still unable to decide if it was distinctly citrus however it was very refreshing. The normal run of the mill day to day marks were removed and the whites were white.

I line dried my load of laundry and the smell was still there when it was dry, even it it was only feint. The fabrics were soft and given that it had been blowing in the fresh air there was a percentage that could just be folded and put away.
The remaining laundry that was ironed was soft but had lost the majority of the smell although it still smelled fresh.

It seems that Daz have introduced this fragrance for the summer and that there is another powder called `Summer Flower Power`.
The box contains enough powder for ten washes and you can buy the fragrance in liquitab form too.

The special offer was the draw for me although the Daz powder worked well and the fragrance was fine. I have just noticed another gem of a slogan written on the top of the box, `Cleans your clothes and pleases your nose!

The market is flooded with laundry products, we are spoilt for choice.
If I see this or the `Summer Flower Power` on offer I may well be tempted to buy it again.
But each and every time we look at the washing powder there is yet another fragrance that just has to be tried and I love some of the floral fragrances.
Daz Mandarin and Lime splash washes well, the laundry smells good and the fabric is left soft. If the price is right then it has everything going for it - bar the slogans !

Summary: Well worth trying if you see it on special offer.
