... in fact I have never really seen or knew that such a product actually existed and was manufactured by the company. Being a proud user of the Dettol brand, I decided to give it a try to see whether it was more effective at solving my problems than the current brands that I was using. The label on the can is quite attractive, with a light blue colour scheme on the cover and most of the can. This makes the Dettol company logo stand out, which does make it easy to find without too much hassle. It was advertised as an &...more

Premium Review Dettol Neutra Air: Get rid of those smells with Dettol (392 words)
by - written on 05/03/08 (Very useful, 118 readings)
Rating:

Dettol Neutra Air is one of many 'odour eliminators' which have come onto the market in recent years, with the aim of eliminating odours, rather than just masking them as traditional air fresheners do. This product can be easily found in most supermarkets, and it costs £1.37 for a 300ml can in Tesco, but it is currently on a half price offer so you can pick one up for 68p. The basic idea behind the product is that the worst odours in the home are caused by bacteria, and this product will eliminate the bacterial odours, leaving the air smelling pure and clean. It can also be used on surfaces to kill bacteria, but it's not to be used on food preparation ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review even works on cat poo! (328 words)

I have to say that in my opinion this stuff is a godsend! i am always having trouble trying to get rid of bad smells (pregnancy induced hormones meant my sense of smell went into overdrive last year) be the smells in my bin, in my daughter's room or round my ill cat's cage (cat poo is nasty, there are no words to descripe the stench that arises from there!) this stuff shifts the stink! its cheap to buy, i pay £1.37 in Tescos, so comparable with any mainstream airfreshener, if not cheaper than some brands. i have only used the pure air spray (why change if it works?) and i spray it inside the cat cage as i am about to clean it out (obviously i remove the cat first!) when ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dettol Neutra Air: The stench of death (374 words)
by - written on 18/07/09 (Very useful, 143 readings)

Some people have an air-freshener obsession... spraying a plethora of products into the air at an alarming rate, which creates an atmosphere in which it is difficult to breathe. Thankfully I'm not one of those people, and only use the humble air freshener when it is entirely necessary. In the past, i've gone into a house and seen those Glade Plug-in thingy's stuffed into every available plug socket, sending out bursts of overly sickly fragrance into the room every couple of minutes - it makes me want to go out and get some fresh air. Whilst the example in the previous paragraph was an extreme case, it probably is a good idea to have an air fresher in the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sparkling Waters? What do they smell like then??? (602 words)
by - written on 04/06/09 (Very useful, 35 readings)

I have to be honest, I first bought this because of the name. I needed air freshener, and I didn't want a cloying flowery fragrance, I wanted something fresh. So I went for the Dettol Neutra Air in "Sparkling Waters" - doesn't that sound just lovely?? I had no idea what to expect, what on earth do sparkling waters smell like anyway? But I had high hopes so I ordered it anyway. It is normally £2 from Tesco for 300ml, but is on offer at the moment for £1.34. It also says it has 33% extra free, which I know I have on my can at the moment. I think it almost always has that on it... What Dettol say... "Eliminates Odours in the air ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dettol Neutra Air: Nicer than Neutradol (1293 words)
by - written on 30/06/08 (Very useful, 326 readings)
Rating:

In a world dominated by air fresheners it was Neutradol that patented their air deodorants that deodorize the home. Over the last ten or so many years Neutradol really cornered the market with their Hospital grade gel air fresheners which later spawned a whole family series of products such as Neutradol vacuum cleaner bag fresheners to vacuum powder and of course their three alternative scented sprays. Why did such a product like this exist? Well, much like Corsadyl mouth wash, Neutradol was an industry led product that did what it promised, much to the dismay of Glade who were happy to put out bog standard air fresheners that masked odours for minutes ...  Read the complete review
