Dettol neaura air that doesn't so the job! (Dettol Neutra Air)

Advantages: Cheaper than average odour neautralier freshner

Disadvantages: doesn't work that well, and certainly doesn't smell of citrus

I am not a major air freshner user, I tend to have one or two expensive Italian Diffusers in key rooms...natural and really do the job. But I cook alot for my family and love fresh fish and have been known to smoke the house out with a whole duck......trust me...follow Delias duck with sour cherries and the house is shamokkkingggg.....
Needless to say, sometimes I need a quick fix. up until this point, my fragrance of choice was Fabreeze Linen...it has a cool trigger spray and smells a little like fresh laundry.....which I adore.

So, on special and with 33% extra free at Tesco, I saw Dettol Neautra Air Citrus. I figured, Dettol....good....citrus...good....price...good, so I would give it a whirl.

It was 89p on special for an airosol of 400ml...that is with 33% extra free.

States on the front of the can that it 'Eliminated Odours in the air caused by bacteria.

Shake well, hold can uprightspray room, spray is released horizontally.
Spray surfaces and fabrics holding the can 15-20cm from the surface. Spray sparingly until covered with mist.
Says to always test on incinspicuos area.

So, thats the blurb. As I said, not keen on air freshners as I think they just mask problems, and am much keener on cleaning and airing as a rule...but if a quick squirt will do a quick fix when someone is coming round and my house smells like a fish monger...then I am a fan!

The fragrance states 'Citrus' However I cannot identify any citrus, not a hint of orange, lemon or lime? It is fresh and clean, but not in any way citrus.

I am not impressed with this product. I have sprayed the downstairs of the house when I came home from work and hubby had given himself and the kids fresh fish. I walked into the house and was greeted with a waft of his fishy offerings. I sprayed, not a light mist, a massive ridiculous mist....everywhere....slightly up the stairs. My best friend arrived 40 mins later ( had given another squirt) and she was overwhelmed by the stench of yummy organic fish!

So, to recap, Doesn't smell in any way of Citrus, doesn;t eliminate odours, and certainly doesn't mask smells like cheapo airfreshners do!

I will go back to my old faithfull Fabreeze Linen with the cool trigger spray!

Summary: Buy another leading brand!
