Advantages: Cheaper if you do it your self

Disadvantages: Hard to do and takes time when you are rubbish at it

DIY in general is something we can all do at home. I am rubbish at this though and in my life never have been good. Most of us do things such as paintings the walls,wallpapering, removing paper for our Diy house work. All these items can be costly and the best place to get DIY items for me always has been local corner DIY shops rather than the big stores like B and Q or Focus who charge too much.

When it comes to painting I must admit this is hard for me. Some people like me will find it hard to do the job no matter how many times you tell them. Some people just do not get it and find DIY work hard. I think its a matter of concentration when doing DIY work in the house which can help you become better at the job.

Doing DIY in general you need to be aware you do not spill anything such as paint like I did once! I think DIY is just too tough in the house for those who do not like the job. I find it hard to put wallpaper on the walls or rip them off properly. Rather stick to a professional than doing it my self when it comes to DIY in general.
