When I went to B&Q about a year ago, I saw the Dremmel Multi for sale for £70. I thought " what a bargain, I will get one. I can do loads of hobby jobs with that"
A year later, I am yet to use it.
It seems a good idea at the time. to do all of those jobs you hate doing. Well, Im yet to find a job it can do that I cant do quicker with hand tools.
It will be good for repairing electrical equipment as it is very tiny with little drill bits but that is it.
How many people repair things like that at home themselves anyway? We either throw it away or get a new one.
What has really caused problems for the dremmel market is B&Q's own brand model of the dremmel. Its for sale right now at only £20!!!
I wish I had held on to buy it now.
It has all the attachments that the dremmel has too.
It is variable speed (same as the dremmel)
It has all the attachments and drill bits (same as the dremmel)
It comes with its own carry case (same as the dremmel)
In fact there is nothing the Dremmel can give you apart from more attachments.
That is the problem with the dremmel. The attachments are very expensive. Its betterto get as many free with your producat as you can as some of the are £5 each!
So If you are thinking about getting one for the man in your life for Christmas girls, think again carefully. Either go for the cheaper option or maybe forget it altogether. Where can he really use it? Not many places!
