Advantages: Quick, Easy, Effective

Disadvantages: Pricey

When you paint different surfaces, different products are required. Although you can use regular wall emulsion to paint wooden bannisters and metal radiators you'll find that there is a dramatic difference in the quality of the finish compared to using a specialist product. The product I purchased was from B&Q and was just under £10 for 750ml of this product in deep blue in the "Once" range (which means you pay more but do less work!).

I found using this product extremely easy and had painted a skirting board, radiator, windowsill and door in a little over an hour by myself. Now obviously I have done a lot of decorating over the years so for me it took half the time it may take someone who is less experienced but either way, the point is that this is a quick product to use that will save time off your usual personal best.

I found this really needed to be left overnight to dry thoroughly as unlike regular emulsions, this needs more time to surface dry as it's a less porous filling paint. The next day on inspecting my handy work I found that the paint had covered the painted areas perfectly with just the one coat and that it left a lovely smooth, glossy finish.

Summary: Highly Recommended

Does this have high VOC's (volatile organic compounds). This may influence people with breathing problems.
