This is the best quality paint out there and whilst my parents argue that it's a waste of money, it's of such a superior quality to many other value paints that it's worth the extra money. Dulux is an internationally available brand of paint and is symbolised by the widely recognised Dulux dog - an old english sheepdog who is the brand's ... Read the complete review

Dulux is pretty much a tried and tested name in home decorating. I quite enjoy DIY, but the one thing I find really tough is painting ceilings. Precarious up the ladder, dizzy looking up, back ache, neck ache, patchy finish, more paint on top of head than on ceiling...the list goes on. I need a paint that will get the job done as ... I have just painted the outside of my house with Dulux Weathershield textured masonry paint. This paint contains an acryylic resin which guarantees protection from all types of weather for up to 15 years. It can be bought in 2.5l or 5l tins. Normal price for a 5L tin is £23.99 but it is on offer in June at Focus for 3 tins for the price of 2. It ... Read the complete review

When it comes to paint, in my experience Dulux always comes out on top. For quality and sheer range of beautiful colours, I must say that I have yet to come across a brand that betters Dulux. The Dulux brand has been a household name in the UK since the 1950's. Made famous by it's traditional Old English Sheepdog mascot, Dulux in now renowned ... Read the complete review

When it comes to DIY I give everything a wide berth apart from the painting, I love painting and for years insisted that my long suffering husband parted with lots of cash and bought me Dulux paint to paint with. Dulux always seemed to be the best looking paint when the job was finished, they always seemed to offer the best range of colours and ... Read the complete review

We bought the Dulux One Coat Pure White to cover skirting, picture rails and window frames (which we had newly stripped of old paint). We thought that spending a fair amount of money would mean no problems. Wrong. In less than 3 months, the 'pure white' is now cream. Called Dulux who tell me that no direct light on the paint will mean it goes a yellow colour. If I had know this, we would never have chosen Dulux! Waste of money and time.

I do a lot of decorating being a property developer and here are a few useful things I have found. B and Q Paint Everywhere Satin for wood work. Beautiful. Much nicer finish than gloss and piece of cake to apply. Also startlingly white. So fresh. Most testers will come out way different than you imagine. Buy a tin of the paint you ... Dulux Magic White Rich matt emulsion seemed to be just the thing I was looking for. I was trying to emulsion a really awful, bumpy ceiling and the light was bad in the room, as it faces north. So, I went to Wilkinson’s and thought I had made a very clever and economical purchase. The emulsion was £8.99 for 2.5 litre can which is good ... Read the complete review

It's started...loft conversion finally completed and now just the rest of the house to renovate. It did mean, however, that I could( start to paint the hall and stairs. So, with this in mind, it was down to the local diy store to select my paint. I knew exactly what I had in mind...more brown than yellow...more cream than pink. So, on to perusing ... I thought that this was the answer to tedious painting - one paint to both undercoat and gloss. Yes, it covered fine, as it claims. But... after just 6 months the brilliant white was cream! I first noticed this on the inner face of a pantry door and put it down to the washing machine therein. Then I noticed also that the cloakroom door ... Read the complete review

I love to decorate and usually change at least two rooms around over the spring and summer months. I think after a long drawn out winter it is good to be able to change one or two of your rooms and put in that little bit of creative energy. Not only does it look good but it makes you feel good to, admittedly it is hard work but the feeling of ... Read the complete review

Having finally completed decorating our living room (at one o clock this morning) I figured, why should I suffer alone? Why not share the horrors of my Easter weekend (supposedly a holiday?) with all my chums at dooyoo? Perhaps I might be able to impart some useful knowledge along the way... I'm exaggerating, it wasn't that bad ... Read the complete review

After living in a magnolia heaven for the last 2 years, I decided it was time for a change. Aren’t parents supposed to have the big bedroom? Even single parents can have the big bedroom without feeling guilty can’t they? That was the question I was faced with. Glancing down just ONE of the paint aisles in B&Q was enough to turn the hardiest of DIYers an odd shade of green.
