I take my cleaning incredibly seriously, too much so for my friends to bear at times lol! They reckon I'm over the top on cleaning and am OCD but I beg to differ. I simply value my home being clean and tidy and I get a buzz from that. I never want to be someone who has to hide to not let people who pop round without my knowledge in etc.
I believe in doing a bit of housework daily and never like my home being in a state and I believe in making my life as easy as possible on myself and buying the right tools for the job in hand.
This product I spotted in Wilkinson's costing £3.00 for 4 sponges and I was attracted to them after reading the back of the box at what they're be useful for. Multi-tasking these sponges are and that suits me, my needs and my home well!
The sponges come in a light blue box with a tear shaped 'window' on the front of it so you can see the sponge through it and I'm told that they are Duzzit Sponge Eraser 'Cleans household marks & stains instantly' and to 'Just wet and wipe' them and I'm shown a couple of diagrams that show me that they are good at removing crayon and black marks on the floor. Other information on the back of the box tells me where to use them, directions for using them are given and contact details for the manufacturer are listed. Nice enough box which is informative as it needs to be.
Well the sponges are large, slightly hard and pure white in colour. Although called sponges they are not airy and rather hard and smooth really. Think slightly bigger than a fag packet that holds ten cigarettes in size and your not far out!
To use it simply moisten it under the cold water tap and you squeeze out the excess moisture. It is suitable for wherever you find dirt like on floors, bathroom tiles, kitchen appliances, walls, shoes, car interiors and scuff marks on paintwork. However using these is not recommended for polished, brushed, gloss or satin surfaces.
All you do is gently wipe over dirt to remove it, of course you may have to press and rub a little harder on real grime and rinse the sponge out when the job is done. Wipe grease, grime and dirt away with ease and yep crayon if need be. It doesn't lather as it doesn't seem to be infused with anything, just stuff you want to remove clings to it.
I have used this sponge around my taps to remove gunk, in corners of my laminate floor, light fittings (though with an almost dry sponge of course and the lights off) and wiped skirting boards with black marks on them and I have to say it works! They last for ages without disintegrating or shredding though do discolour after lots of usage but you can pop them in the wash to make sure they're clean.
I like these and use mine often! Great product and I will repurchase when I need to in the future!
Available in all good supermarkets etc costing about £3,00 for a box of 4 of them or on Amazon for £2.99 (not including postage and packing).
