Advantages: ERM....
Disadvantages: SUDS LAST 2 SECONDS, GREASE EATS IT, DRIES HANDS
Walking down the household aisle in Iceland, my eyes couldn't help but be drawn.
Wow, 2 for£1, come to mamma!
With 30% extra free (650ml instead of the usual 500ml) and Aloe Vera what more could a girl want?
Not perturbed by the cheapness of this brand, I was too busy thinking about the bargain aspect of it and unfortunately let the price cloud my judgement. A few sayings spring to mind, 'buy cheap, buy twice' and 'too good to be true'.
Well, I was tricked I tell you, tricked! They put this green liquid in a bottle which looks like most other washing up liquids, particularly like the leading brand. And I am a mere mortal you know?! So what was I supposed to think?
Exactly!
I was supposed to think that it was as good as the leading brand. I was supposed to think it would be kind to my hands. And I was supposed to think it would cut through grease like a knife. These are the things they wanted me to believe.... and I did!
Now, my water pressure is quite high, so when I run the water into my washing up bowl, I normally have to be careful not to put too much washing up liquid in or I get overcome by bubbles. So, this time, I took out my new bottle of 'Easy' and lifted the lid (which is like one of those sports drink lids that you lift to open and push down to close - as opposed to the flip lid on some washing up liquids). I gave a normal squeeze to dispense the required amount, but noticed the bubbles weren't as prolific as I'd have expected. No big deal I thought..... Until a few plates and a frying pan later, when the water was as flat as a bad pint of lager! Ok then, I'll just squeeze some more in and give the water a swish round - as you do! Yes? .... No! This liquid just refused to stay bubbly despite all my teasing, and as for the rest of my dishes, well, bless them, they probably thought I'd disowned them, what with the poor treatment they were getting.
God knows why it's so rubbish, I mean, it looks gooey enough, it smells nice enough, but it just doesn't cut the mustard, let alone the grease!
And as for being kind to my hands, well, either the Aloe Vera content is miniscule (it fails to mention anything on the container about it, only that it says Aloe Vera on the front and Aloe Vera on the back) or the detergent is very harsh, because my hands felt very dry afterwards and I had to use lots of hand cream to get them back to normal.
As you may have gathered by now, I am not going to recommend this product and the remainder is languishing at the back of my kitchen cupboard; probably never to be used again! If I could give it no stars I would. Give it a miss!
Summary: EASY COME, EASY GO... PLEASE GO!
