... must have some soothing and moisturising properties in it too. Sometime with washing up liquids if you're not careful and don't rinse the dishes properly, you can be left with some residue which you can taste but you don't get this with Ecover. We have a dishwasher so mainly use this for pots and pans, and it cleans them brilliantly, cutting thorugh grease and leaving it sparkly :) When I move out, I will most definitely buy this, even though it is a little more expensive because the quality of clean is great and y...more

Premium Review Ecover Washing Up Liquid: Bunny Friendly Dishes (774 words)
by - written on 26/10/07 (Very useful, 96 readings)
Rating:

I used to use fairy to clean my dishes but last year I discovered that proctor and gamble test products on animals. Now, I wouldn't state I'm any kind of animal activist, or a warrior for fair trade...I don't go vigorously seeking products to boycott, and I don't do a great deal of investigation into the products I buy. That said, if I learn a product I often use is animal tested, I would endeavour to discover a superior and kinder alternative. That's how I ended up using Ecover. Ecover is the lone non-animal tested and environmentally friendly product I was able to locate on my supermarket shelves, and was suggested to me by a friend who's very exacting ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review They've got it Ecovered! (1162 words)

I have to admit that I had noticed that some of our "environmentalist" friends used this product and I always thought it had to be completely ineffective if it was good for the environment. So I have always stuck to my big brand varieties but at the same time I have been quite aware about the number of chemicals that we have in our kitchen cupboards but to my shame had done nothing about it. So when we went on holiday and the cottage we stayed in used all Ecover products I felt like I was getting a free sample so I test drove the products and was particularly impressed by the washing up liquid. So much so that when we got home and I needed to buy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ecover Washing Up Liquid: Ecowash that works (215 words)

Rating:

It might not be an all-singing, all-dancing entertainment system, but Ecover washing up liquid is still my brand of choice on the rare occasion that I'm forced to don the Marigolds and scrub something that my dishwasher has failed to clean. Here are my five reasons why: First of all, though it's not the most bubbly liquid on the market, it works well, cutting through grease and grime, leaving everything really clean. Second of all, it's made of vegetable detergents (based on coconut oil) which are less toxic to aquatic life and which biodegrade quickly and completely, minimizing the damage that your washing up is doing to the ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Ecover Washing Up Liquid...Do your bit for the Environment.. (1764 words)

When I first thought about writing this review I was cautious, firstly I don’t want to preach and secondly how interesting can washing up liquid be. So for the last few weeks I’ve mulled it over and decided that it’s the same as every review, for the people who are interested in the product it may help. So here we go my short lecture on Camomile & Marigold Ecover Washing Up Liquid….. Washing up liquid may well be something that we use everyday, but how much do we think about what goes down the drain and where that drain goes. Ecover have been thinking about that on our behalf and here are their results: Who are Ecover? It ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Ecover Washing Up Liquid: Ecover... Where? There On The Stair (1429 words)
by - written on 27/05/04 (Very useful, 1918 readings)

Our dishwasher is out of action. It's sitting in the garage feeling rather lonely. One day, when I've sorted out the conservatory/extension/outhouse, and it's become the laundry, and there's room in the kitchen, our dishwasher will be pressed into service once again. Until then ? and at the Murphy rate of house improvement it may be some time ? we are back to washing up by hand. Hard work, isn't it? Guess which washing up liquid we're using? Ecover. Ecover are probably the most famous of the "environmentally-friendly" manufacturers of household detergents. Among their ...  Read the complete review
