Ssssh... keep this to yourself, but guess what? This wishy-washy namby-pamby liberal animal-loving Ecover washing up liquid isn't just a nod to the environment. It's actually one of the best washing up detergents I've found.

Ecover is a top to bottom environmentally friendly company, and everything from their green-roofed factories to the refillable and recyclable product packaging demonstrates a serious commitment to reducing unnecessary pollution and waste. But the natural ingredients and chemical formulation of this washing up liquid actually deliver a rapid shine to crockery and cutlery, cutting through grease and dried on food with remarkable ease. Ecover make much of the fact that they omit the commonly used chemicals that make other detergents extra bubbly or that make the plates extra "squeaky" clean. None of these ingredients, as found in leading brands, are necessary or even helpful when you're doing the dishes.
