Advantages: A good environmentally friendly washing up liquid

Ecover Washing Up Liquid comes simply bottled in plain white plastic,but the packaging goes one step further the bottle and label are made from polyethylene and the cap made from polypropylene ,both of which are 100% recyclable.

What Ecover have to say about the product :
The liquid is freshly perfumed and made from plant ingredients.It cleans and degreases efficiently and is kind to your skin.The liquid leaves no residue and it is possible to get a refill for your bottle .
Refills are available from many Health food shops and your bottle will refill over 50 times before it needs replacing.
Ecover deliver the washing up liquid to the Health food shops in large drums that are also recyclable.

I sent for a free sample of Lemon Ecover washing up liquid from Hot Dealsuk,like many of us I just love a freebie !
I had forgotten all about it when it was delivered in the little brown jiffy bag.
I decided to trial my sample after supper when I had not only plates,but dishes,glasses,cutlery and pots and pans.

I filled the basin with hot water and gave my mini Ecover bottle a good squeeze.
Nice lemony smell,but hardly any bubbles !
The glassware washed well and shone afterwards,the plates I washed but then rinsed,they still felt a little grainy,the serving dishes were cleaned easily as were the pots and pans.
I did the cutlery last of all in fresh water and Ecover worked its magic yet again.

So my trial bottle gave me good insight into how well Lemon Ecover washing up liquid performs.
Overall it performed exceptionally well.
It degreased well ,made a good job of the cutlery and glassware.The plates just needed that extra rinse.But the one thing that I missed were...BUBBLES!!
