I decided to switch my regular 'fairy' washing-up liquid with 'ECOVER' a few months ago. Ecover products are derived from plant and mineral extracts, and are completely biodegradable.

The first thing I noticed was that the consistency wasn't as thick as other washing up liquids, but I was willing to make a compromise (if it is going to help the environment.) The scent is very light and fresh.

It doesn't produce a great deal of foam, which can initially be quite disheartening. I've got to be honest and say that I do find myself using a little more than I normally would with other washing up liquids, on the contrary it has lasted me a considerably long time!

The price is a little on the expensive side, but you get a large 1L bottle for your money, the size is quite imposing, however they do do smaller sizes now. Overall I'd say I am happy with this product.

Summary: Biodegradable, natural, expensive, a little runny.
