Advantages: Great for the environment, Cleans dishes well

Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive - It's worth it though

Being conscious about the environment and our actions, my family decided to try Ecover Washing Up Liquid as opposed the our usual Fairy Liquid. Ecover uses citrus (natural plant/fruit e.g. lemon) based cleaning formula for alot of their products, including Ecover Washing Up Liquid. This means that as the liquid comes from nature, it won't harm nature as much either. This also means that the liquid is much less damaging to your skin and hands, so is a much safer and pleasant liquid to wash your dishes with.

Going even further, Ecover's website outlines the other things they do to protect the environment (http://www.ecoverwateraid.com/en/water-facts-en/) . The bottle is made of recyclable plastic (it's even refillable in some shops!) and they save as much water as possible in their factories. This ensures that you are doing as little damage to the planet as possible when washing your dishes.

What's even better: this cleans your dishes just as well as other liquids such as Fairy - even leaving a natural, fresh lemon scent. The price may be slightly higher, but for the amount of washes you get out of the bottle - you can't put a price on doing the right thing!

So if you are looking for a cleaner, more natural way to clean your home (which I encourage you do), look out for Ecover products.
