Advantages: Eco friendly and cleans better than traditional washing up liquids

Disadvantages: Does not last as long as "concentrated" ones.

I can highly recommend this product. I am conscious of the chemicals I use around my home and this product allows me to reduce the number of unnecessary chemicals and has a lower impact on our outside environment too. After initially using this product a couple of years ago I have switched all of the cleaning products I buy to use around the home to Ecover and have found an equal, or in the case of the washing up liquid, better, quality of cleaning.

I buy the washing up liquid from Morrisons at around £2.00 for a 2ltr Aloe Vera and Lemon bottle. This usually lasts me about a month or so (and I don't have a dish washer).It does not last as long as concentrated, more chemical heavy washing up liquids, but I belive it cleans better so is worth it.

The scent is pleasant and mild, certainly not as obvious as other brands.
It cleans glass in particular absolutely brilliantly; far better than any other brand I have tried. It does not produce lots of bubbles, but the surfectants used to produce the bubbles are not necessary for good cleaning - they just make us think the product is cleaning well, so this reduces the chemicals used.
It does not leave a residue on the pots, and if you don't rinse them it doesn't matter too much because you can't taste the washing up liquid on the plate once its dry, I presume this is because of natural perfumes not man-made.
I have fairly dry hands, and they were noticably better when I started usng ecover, not as taut and cracked - so it's doing something right on my hands at least!

Summary: Better cleaning and better around the home too.
